01-22:19††† So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.
01-24:46††† And she made haste, and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: so I drank, and she made the camels drink also.
01-25:22††† And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.
01-27:1†††† And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I.
01-27:20††† And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the LORD thy God brought it to me.
01-27:23††† And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esauís hands: so he blessed him.
01-28:21††† So that I come again to my fatherís house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God:
01-29:26††† And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.
01-29:28††† And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.
01-30:33††† So shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before thy face: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with me.
01-30:42††† But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Labanís, and the stronger Jacobís.
01-31:21††† So he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and passed over the river, and set his face toward the mount Gilead.
01-31:28††† And hast not suffered me to kiss my sons and my daughters? thou hast now done foolishly in so doing.
01-31:36††† And Jacob was wroth, and chode with Laban: and Jacob answered and said to Laban, What is my trespass? what is my sin, that thou hast so hotly pursued after me?

01-41:4†††† And the ill favoured and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favoured and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke.
01-41:13††† And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged.
01-41:21††† And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke.
01-41:39††† And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:
01-41:57††† And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands.
01-42:20††† But bring your youngest brother unto me; so shall your words be verified, and ye shall not die. And they did so.
01-42:34††† And bring your youngest brother unto me: then shall I know that ye are no spies, but that ye are true men: so will I deliver you your brother, and ye shall traffick in the land.

01-43:34††† And he took and sent messes unto them from before him: but Benjaminís mess was five times so much as any of theirs. And they drank, and were merry with him.
01-44:5†††† Is not this it in which my lord drinketh, and whereby indeed he divineth? ye have done evil in so doing.
01-44:17††† And he said, God forbid that I should do so: but the man in whose hand the cup is found, he shall be my servant; and as for you, get you up in peace unto your father.
01-45:8†††† So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
01-45:21††† And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way.
01-45:24††† So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.
01-47:13††† And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and all the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine.
01-47:20††† And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaohís.
01-47:28††† And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years: so the whole age of Jacob was an hundred forty and seven years.
01-48:10††† Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he could not see. And he brought them near unto him; and he kissed them, and embraced them.
01-48:18††† And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.
01-49:17††† Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.

01-50:17††† So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.
01-50:26††† So Joseph died, being an hundred and ten years old: and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt.
02-1:10†††† Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.
02-2:18†††† And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon to day?
02-4:26†††† So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision.
02-5:12†††† So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.
02-5:22†††† And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me?
02-6:9††††† And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.
02-7:6††††† And Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, so did they.
02-7:10†††† And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
02-7:20†††† And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.
02-7:22†††† And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaohís heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the LORD had said.
02-8:7††††† And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs upon the land of Egypt.
02-8:17†††† And they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
02-8:18†††† And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast.
02-8:24†††† And the LORD did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servantsí houses, and into all the land of Egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies.
02-8:26†††† And Moses said, It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the LORD our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone us?
02-9:24†††† So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
02-10:10††† And he said unto them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you.
02-10:11††† Not so: go now ye that are men, and serve the LORD; for that ye did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaohís presence.
02-10:15††† For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.
02-10:20††† But the LORD hardened Pharaohís heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go.
02-11:10††† And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened Pharaohís heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.
02-12:28††† And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
02-12:36††† And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.
02-12:50††† Thus did all the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
02-14:4†††† And I will harden Pharaohís heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD. And they did so.
02-14:20††† And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.
02-14:25††† And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians.
02-14:28††† And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.
02-15:22††† So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
02-16:17††† And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less.
02-16:30††† So the people rested on the seventh day.
02-16:34††† As the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.
02-17:6†††† Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
02-17:10††† So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
02-18:22††† And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee.
02-18:23††† If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so, then thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.
02-18:24††† So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.
02-19:16††† And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.
02-19:25††† So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them.
02-21:12††† He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death.
02-21:22††† If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the womanís husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
02-22:6†††† If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
02-25:9†††† According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.
02-25:33††† Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick.
02-27:8†††† Hollow with boards shalt thou make it: as it was shewed thee in the mount, so shall they make it.
02-28:7†††† It shall have the two shoulder pieces thereof joined at the two edges thereof; and so it shall be joined together.
02-30:21††† So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations.
02-30:23††† Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty shekels, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty shekels,
02-32:21††† And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought so great a sin upon them?
02-32:24††† And I said unto them, Whosoever hath any gold, let them break it off. So they gave it me: then I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf.
02-33:16††† For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
02-36:6†††† And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing.
02-36:13††† And he made fifty taches of gold, and coupled the curtains one unto another with the taches: so it became one tabernacle.
02-37:19††† Three bowls made after the fashion of almonds in one branch, a knop and a flower; and three bowls made like almonds in another branch, a knop and a flower: so throughout the six branches going out of the candlestick.
02-39:32††† Thus was all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation finished: and the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.
02-39:42††† According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel made all the work.
02-39:43††† And Moses did look upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the LORD had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them.
02-40:16††† Thus did Moses: according to all that the LORD commanded him, so did he.
02-40:33††† And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the hanging of the court gate. So Moses finished the work.
03-4:20†††† And he shall do with the bullock as he did with the bullock for a sin offering, so shall he do with this: and the priest shall make an atonement for them, and it shall be forgiven them.
03-7:7††††† As the sin offering is, so is the trespass offering: there is one law for them: the priest that maketh atonement therewith shall have it.
03-8:34†††† As he hath done this day, so the LORD hath commanded to do, to make an atonement for you.
03-8:35†††† Therefore shall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye die not: for so I am commanded.
03-8:36†††† So Aaron and his sons did all things which the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
03-10:5†††† So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said.
03-10:13††† And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sonsí due, of the sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded.
03-11:32††† And upon whatsoever any of them, when they are dead, doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; so it shall be cleansed.
03-14:13††† And he shall slay the lamb in the place where he shall kill the sin offering and the burnt offering, in the holy place: for as the sin offering is the priestís, so is the trespass offering: it is most holy:
03-14:21††† And if he be poor, and cannot get so much; then he shall take one lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to make an atonement for him, and one tenth deal of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering, and a log of oil;
03-16:4†††† He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.
03-16:16††† And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness.
03-24:19††† And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;
03-24:20††† Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.
03-26:15††† And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:
03-27:12††† And the priest shall value it, whether it be good or bad: as thou valuest it, who art the priest, so shall it be.
03-27:14††† And when a man shall sanctify his house to be holy unto the LORD, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it be good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand.
04-1:19†††† As the LORD commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.
04-1:45†††† So were all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of their fathers, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;
04-1:54†††† And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.
04-2:17†††† Then the tabernacle of the congregation shall set forward with the camp of the Levites in the midst of the camp: as they encamp, so shall they set forward, every man in his place by their standards.
04-2:34†††† And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.
04-4:26†††† And the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: so shall they serve.
04-5:4††††† And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the LORD spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.
04-6:21†††† This is the law of the Nazarite who hath vowed, and of his offering unto the LORD for his separation, beside that that his hand shall get: according to the vow which he vowed, so he must do after the law of his separation.
04-8:3††††† And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.
04-8:4††††† And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was beaten work: according unto the pattern which the LORD had shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick.
04-8:7††††† And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.
04-8:20†††† And Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according unto all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them.
04-8:22†††† And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.
04-9:5††††† And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at even in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.
04-9:14†††† And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.
04-9:16†††† So it was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
04-9:20†††† And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed.
04-9:21†††† And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.
04-12:7†††† My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
04-13:21††† So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath.
04-13:33††† And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
04-14:28††† Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
04-15:12††† According to the number that ye shall prepare, so shall ye do to every one according to their number.
04-15:14††† And if a stranger sojourn with you, or whosoever be among you in your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD; as ye do, so he shall do.
04-15:15††† One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.
04-15:20††† Ye shall offer up a cake of the first of your dough for an heave offering: as ye do the heave offering of the threshingfloor, so shall ye heave it.
04-16:27††† So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.
04-17:11††† And Moses did so: as the LORD commanded him, so did he.
04-20:8†††† Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.
04-21:35††† So they smote him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was none left him alive: and they possessed his land.
04-22:30††† And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? And he said, Nay.
04-22:35††† And the angel of the LORD said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.
04-25:8†††† And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.
04-31:5†††† So there were delivered out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
04-32:23††† But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.
04-32:28††† So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel:

04-36:4†††† And when the jubile of the children of Israel shall be, then shall their inheritance be put unto the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received: so shall their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.
04-36:7†††† So shall not the inheritance of the children of Israel remove from tribe to tribe: for every one of the children of Israel shall keep himself to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.

05-12:31††† Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.
05-13:5†††† And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.
05-14:24††† And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
05-17:7†††† The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.
05-18:14††† For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.
05-19:10††† That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.

05-22:24††† Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbourís wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
05-22:26††† But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:
05-24:8†††† Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that thou observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so ye shall observe to do.
05-25:9†††† Then shall his brotherís wife come unto him in the presence of the elders, and loose his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto that man that will not build up his brotherís house.

05-28:54††† So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:

05-28:63††† And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.
05-29:22††† So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD hath laid upon it;
05-30:17††† But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
05-31:17††† Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?
05-32:12††† So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.
05-33:25††† Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.
05-34:5†††† So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.
05-34:8†††† And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.

06-4:8††††† And the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, as the LORD spake unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.
06-5:15†††† And the captain of the LORDíS host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.
06-6:11†††† So the ark of the LORD compassed the city, going about it once: and they came into the camp, and lodged in the camp.
06-6:14†††† And the second day they compassed the city once, and returned into the camp: so they did six days.
06-6:20†††† So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
06-6:27†††† So the LORD was with Joshua; and his fame was noised throughout all the country.
06-7:4††††† So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai.
06-7:16†††† So Joshua rose up early in the morning, and brought Israel by their tribes; and the tribe of Judah was taken:
06-7:22†††† So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it.
06-7:26†††† And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.
06-8:3††††† So Joshua arose, and all the people of war, to go up against Ai: and Joshua chose out thirty thousand mighty men of valour, and sent them away by night.
06-8:22†††† And the other issued out of the city against them; so they were in the midst of Israel, some on this side, and some on that side: and they smote them, so that they let none of them remain or escape.
06-8:25†††† And so it was, that all that fell that day, both of men and women, were twelve thousand, even all the men of Ai.
06-9:26†††† And so did he unto them, and delivered them out of the hand of the children of Israel, that they slew them not.
06-10:1†††† Now it came to pass, when Adonizedec king of Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them;
06-10:7†††† So Joshua ascended from Gilgal, he, and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valour.
06-10:13††† And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
06-10:23††† And they did so, and brought forth those five kings unto him out of the cave, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon.
06-10:39††† And he took it, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof; and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining: as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and to the king thereof; as he had done also to Libnah, and to her king.
06-10:40††† So Joshua smote all the country of the hills, and of the south, and of the vale, and of the springs, and all their kings: he left none remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the LORD God of Israel commanded.
06-11:7†††† So Joshua came, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom suddenly; and they fell upon them.
06-11:15††† As the LORD commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD commanded Moses.
06-11:16††† So Joshua took all that land, the hills, and all the south country, and all the land of Goshen, and the valley, and the plain, and the mountain of Israel, and the valley of the same;
06-11:23††† So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD said unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.
06-14:5†††† As the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did, and they divided the land.
06-14:11††† As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.
06-14:12††† Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said.
06-15:7†††† And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of Enshemesh, and the goings out thereof were at Enrogel:
06-16:4†††† So the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.
06-19:51††† These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, divided for an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. So they made an end of dividing the country.
06-21:40††† So all the cities for the children of Merari by their families, which were remaining of the families of the Levites, were by their lot twelve cities.
06-22:6†††† So Joshua blessed them, and sent them away: and they went unto their tents.
06-22:25††† For the LORD hath made Jordan a border between us and you, ye children of Reuben and children of Gad; ye have no part in the LORD: so shall your children make our children cease from fearing the LORD.
06-22:28††† Therefore said we, that it shall be, when they should so say to us or to our generations in time to come, that we may say again, Behold the pattern of the altar of the LORD, which our fathers made, not for burnt offerings, nor for sacrifices; but it is a witness between us and you.
06-23:15††† Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
06-24:10††† But I would not hearken unto Balaam; therefore he blessed you still: so I delivered you out of his hand.
06-24:25††† So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and set them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.
06-24:28††† So Joshua let the people depart, every man unto his inheritance.
07-1:3††††† And Judah said unto Simeon his brother, Come up with me into my lot, that we may fight against the Canaanites; and I likewise will go with thee into thy lot. So Simeon went with him.

07-2:17†††† And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the LORD; but they did not so.
07-3:14†††† So the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.
07-3:22†††† And the haft also went in after the blade; and the fat closed upon the blade, so that he could not draw the dagger out of his belly; and the dirt came out.
07-3:30†††† So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. And the land had rest fourscore years.
07-4:14†††† And Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day in which the LORD hath delivered Sisera into thine hand: is not the LORD gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.
07-4:15†††† And the LORD discomfited Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; so that Sisera lighted down off his chariot, and fled away on his feet.
07-4:21†††† Then Jael Heberís wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died.
07-4:23†††† So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel.
07-5:28†††† The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? why tarry the wheels of his chariots?

07-6:3††††† And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them;

07-7:5††††† So he brought down the people unto the water: and the LORD said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink.
07-7:8††††† So the people took victuals in their hand, and their trumpets: and he sent all the rest of Israel every man unto his tent, and retained those three hundred men: and the host of Midian was beneath him in the valley.
07-7:15†††† And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshipped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the LORD hath delivered into your hand the host of Midian.
07-7:17†††† And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do.
07-7:19†††† So Gideon, and the hundred men that were with him, came unto the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch; and they had but newly set the watch: and they blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers that were in their hands.
07-8:18†††† Then said he unto Zebah and Zalmunna, What manner of men were they whom ye slew at Tabor? And they answered, As thou art, so were they; each one resembled the children of a king.
07-8:21†††† Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, Rise thou, and fall upon us: for as the man is, so is his strength. And Gideon arose, and slew Zebah and Zalmunna, and took away the ornaments that were on their camelsí necks.
07-8:28†††† Thus was Midian subdued before the children of Israel, so that they lifted up their heads no more. And the country was in quietness forty years in the days of Gideon.
07-9:49†††† And all the people likewise cut down every man his bough, and followed Abimelech, and put them to the hold, and set the hold on fire upon them; so that all the men of the tower of Shechem died also, about a thousand men and women.
07-10:9†††† Moreover the children of Ammon passed over Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; so that Israel was sore distressed.
07-11:5†††† And it was so, that when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob:
07-11:10††† And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, The LORD be witness between us, if we do not so according to thy words.
07-11:21††† And the LORD God of Israel delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they smote them: so Israel possessed all the land of the Amorites, the inhabitants of that country.
07-11:23††† So now the LORD God of Israel hath dispossessed the Amorites from before his people Israel, and shouldest thou possess it?
07-11:24††† Wilt not thou possess that which Chemosh thy god giveth thee to possess? So whomsoever the LORD our God shall drive out from before us, them will we possess.
07-11:32††† So Jephthah passed over unto the children of Ammon to fight against them; and the LORD delivered them into his hands.
07-12:5†††† And the Gileadites took the passages of Jordan before the Ephraimites: and it was so that when those Ephraimites which were escaped said, Let me go over; that the men of Gilead said unto him, Art thou an Ephraimite? If he said, Nay;

07-14:15††† And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samsonís wife, Entice thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy fatherís house with fire: have ye called us to take that we have? is it not so?
07-15:11††† Then three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines are rulers over us? what is this that thou hast done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them.
07-16:9†††† Now there were men lying in wait, abiding with her in the chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he brake the withs, as a thread of tow is broken when it toucheth the fire. So his strength was not known.
07-16:16††† And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death;
07-16:30††† And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.
07-17:10††† And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten shekels of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in.

07-19:4†††† And his father in law, the damselís father, retained him; and he abode with him three days: so they did eat and drink, and lodged there.

07-19:24††† Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing.
07-19:25††† But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go.
07-19:30††† And it was so, that all that saw it said, There was no such deed done nor seen from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt unto this day: consider of it, take advice, and speak your minds.

07-21:23††† And the children of Benjamin did so, and took them wives, according to their number, of them that danced, whom they caught: and they went and returned unto their inheritance, and repaired the cities, and dwelt in them.

08-1:19†††† So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?

08-2:7††††† And she said, I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves: so she came, and hath continued even from the morning until now, that she tarried a little in the house.
08-2:17†††† So she gleaned in the field until even, and beat out that she had gleaned: and it was about an ephah of barley.
08-2:23†††† So she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt with her mother in law.
08-4:8††††† Therefore the kinsman said unto Boaz, Buy it for thee. So he drew off his shoe.
08-4:13†††† So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bare a son.
09-1:7††††† And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat.
09-1:9††††† So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.
09-1:18†††† And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.
09-1:23†††† And Elkanah her husband said unto her, Do what seemeth thee good; tarry until thou have weaned him; only the LORD establish his word. So the woman abode, and gave her son suck until she weaned him.
09-2:3††††† Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.
09-2:5††††† They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.
09-2:14†††† And he struck it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh, unto all the Israelites that came thither.
09-2:21†††† And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD.
09-3:9††††† Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
09-3:17†††† And he said, What is the thing that the LORD hath said unto thee? I pray thee hide it not from me: God do so to thee, and more also, if thou hide any thing from me of all the things that he said unto thee.
09-4:4††††† So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from thence the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth between the cherubims: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.
09-4:5††††† And when the ark of the covenant of the LORD came into the camp, all Israel shouted with a great shout, so that the earth rang again.
09-5:7††††† And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god.
09-5:9††††† And it was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of the LORD was against the city with a very great destruction: and he smote the men of the city, both small and great, and they had emerods in their secret parts.
09-5:11†††† So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there.
09-6:10†††† And the men did so; and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home:
09-7:13†††† So the Philistines were subdued, and they came no more into the coast of Israel: and the hand of the LORD was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.
09-8:8††††† According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.
09-9:10†††† Then said Saul to his servant, Well said; come, let us go. So they went unto the city where the man of God was.
09-9:21†††† And Saul answered and said, Am not I a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? wherefore then speakest thou so to me?
09-9:24†††† And the cook took up the shoulder, and that which was upon it, and set it before Saul. And Samuel said, Behold that which is left! set it before thee, and eat: for unto this time hath it been kept for thee since I said, I have invited the people. So Saul did eat with Samuel that day.
09-10:9†††† And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.
09-11:7†††† And he took a yoke of oxen, and hewed them in pieces, and sent them throughout all the coasts of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, Whosoever cometh not forth after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done unto his oxen. And the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out with one consent.
09-11:11††† And it was so on the morrow, that Saul put the people in three companies; and they came into the midst of the host in the morning watch, and slew the Ammonites until the heat of the day: and it came to pass, that they which remained were scattered, so that two of them were not left together.
09-12:18††† So Samuel called unto the LORD; and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel.
09-13:22††† So it came to pass in the day of battle, that there was neither sword nor spear found in the hand of any of the people that were with Saul and Jonathan: but with Saul and with Jonathan his son was there found.
09-14:15††† And there was trembling in the host, in the field, and among all the people: the garrison, and the spoilers, they also trembled, and the earth quaked: so it was a very great trembling.
09-14:23††† So the LORD saved Israel that day: and the battle passed over unto Bethaven.
09-14:24††† And the men of Israel were distressed that day: for Saul had adjured the people, saying, Cursed be the man that eateth any food until evening, that I may be avenged on mine enemies. So none of the people tasted any food.
09-14:44††† And Saul answered, God do so and more also: for thou shalt surely die, Jonathan.
09-14:45††† And the people said unto Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who hath wrought this great salvation in Israel? God forbid: as the LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground; for he hath wrought with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he died not.
09-14:47††† So Saul took the kingdom over Israel, and fought against all his enemies on every side, against Moab, and against the children of Ammon, and against Edom, and against the kings of Zobah, and against the Philistines: and whithersoever he turned himself, he vexed them.
09-15:6†††† And Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.
09-15:31††† So Samuel turned again after Saul; and Saul worshipped the LORD.
09-15:33††† And Samuel said, As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal.
09-16:13††† Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.
09-16:23††† And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.
09-17:27††† And the people answered him after this manner, saying, So shall it be done to the man that killeth him.
09-17:50††† So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.
09-18:30††† Then the princes of the Philistines went forth: and it came to pass, after they went forth, that David behaved himself more wisely than all the servants of Saul; so that his name was much set by.
09-19:12††† So Michal let David down through a window: and he went, and fled, and escaped.
09-19:17††† And Saul said unto Michal, Why hast thou deceived me so, and sent away mine enemy, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said unto me, Let me go; why should I kill thee?
09-19:18††† So David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.
09-20:2†††† And he said unto him, God forbid; thou shalt not die: behold, my father will do nothing either great or small, but that he will shew it me: and why should my father hide this thing from me? it is not so.
09-20:13††† The LORD do so and much more to Jonathan: but if it please my father to do thee evil, then I will shew it thee, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in peace: and the LORD be with thee, as he hath been with my father.
09-20:16††† So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, Let the LORD even require it at the hand of Davidís enemies.
09-20:24††† So David hid himself in the field: and when the new moon was come, the king sat him down to eat meat.
09-20:34††† So Jonathan arose from the table in fierce anger, and did eat no meat the second day of the month: for he was grieved for David, because his father had done him shame.
09-21:6†††† So the priest gave him hallowed bread: for there was no bread there but the shewbread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away.
09-22:14††† Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the kingís son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house?
09-23:5†††† So David and his men went to Keilah, and fought with the Philistines, and brought away their cattle, and smote them with a great slaughter. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.
09-24:7†††† So David stayed his servants with these words, and suffered them not to rise against Saul. But Saul rose up out of the cave, and went on his way.
09-25:12††† So Davidís young men turned their way, and went again, and came and told him all those sayings.
09-25:20††† And it was so, as she rode on the ass, that she came down by the covert on the hill, and, behold, David and his men came down against her; and she met them.
09-25:21††† Now David had said, Surely in vain have I kept all that this fellow hath in the wilderness, so that nothing was missed of all that pertained unto him: and he hath requited me evil for good.
09-25:22††† So and more also do God unto the enemies of David, if I leave of all that pertain to him by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.
09-25:25††† Let not my lord, I pray thee, regard this man of Belial, even Nabal: for as his name is, so is he; Nabal is his name, and folly is with him: but I thine handmaid saw not the young men of my lord, whom thou didst send.
09-25:35††† So David received of her hand that which she had brought him, and said unto her, Go up in peace to thine house; see, I have hearkened to thy voice, and have accepted thy person.
09-26:7†††† So David and Abishai came to the people by night: and, behold, Saul lay sleeping within the trench, and his spear stuck in the ground at his bolster: but Abner and the people lay round about him.
09-26:12††† So David took the spear and the cruse of water from Saulís bolster; and they gat them away, and no man saw it, nor knew it, neither awaked: for they were all asleep; because a deep sleep from the LORD was fallen upon them.
09-26:24††† And, behold, as thy life was much set by this day in mine eyes, so let my life be much set by in the eyes of the LORD, and let him deliver me out of all tribulation.
09-26:25††† Then Saul said to David, Blessed be thou, my son David: thou shalt both do great things, and also shalt still prevail. So David went on his way, and Saul returned to his place.
09-27:1†††† And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.
09-27:11††† And David saved neither man nor woman alive, to bring tidings to Gath, saying, Lest they should tell on us, saying, So did David, and so will be his manner all the while he dwelleth in the country of the Philistines.
09-28:23††† But he refused, and said, I will not eat. But his servants, together with the woman, compelled him; and he hearkened unto their voice. So he arose from the earth, and sat upon the bed.
09-29:8†††† And David said unto Achish, But what have I done? and what hast thou found in thy servant so long as I have been with thee unto this day, that I may not go fight against the enemies of my lord the king?
09-29:11††† So David and his men rose up early to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel.
09-30:3†††† So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives.
09-30:9†††† So David went, he and the six hundred men that were with him, and came to the brook Besor, where those that were left behind stayed.
09-30:10††† But David pursued, he and four hundred men: for two hundred abode behind, which were so faint that they could not go over the brook Besor.
09-30:21††† And David came to the two hundred men, which were so faint that they could not follow David, whom they had made also to abide at the brook Besor: and they went forth to meet David, and to meet the people that were with him: and when David came near to the people, he saluted them.
09-30:23††† Then said David, Ye shall not do so, my brethren, with that which the LORD hath given us, who hath preserved us, and delivered the company that came against us into our hand.
09-30:24††† For who will hearken unto you in this matter? but as his part is that goeth down to the battle, so shall his part be that tarrieth by the stuff: they shall part alike.
09-30:25††† And it was so from that day forward, that he made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel unto this day.
09-31:6†††† So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armourbearer, and all his men, that same day together.
10-1:2††††† It came even to pass on the third day, that, behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul with his clothes rent, and earth upon his head: and so it was, when he came to David, that he fell to the earth, and did obeisance.
10-1:10†††† So I stood upon him, and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen: and I took the crown that was upon his head, and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them hither unto my lord.
10-2:2††††† So David went up thither, and his two wives also, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail Nabalís wife the Carmelite.
10-2:16†††† And they caught every one his fellow by the head, and thrust his sword in his fellowís side; so they fell down together: wherefore that place was called Helkathhazzurim, which is in Gibeon.
10-2:28†††† So Joab blew a trumpet, and all the people stood still, and pursued after Israel no more, neither fought they any more.
10-2:31†††† But the servants of David had smitten of Benjamin, and of Abnerís men, so that three hundred and threescore men died.
10-3:9††††† So do God to Abner, and more also, except, as the LORD hath sworn to David, even so I do to him;
10-3:20†††† So Abner came to David to Hebron, and twenty men with him. And David made Abner and the men that were with him a feast.
10-3:30†††† So Joab and Abishai his brother slew Abner, because he had slain their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle.
10-3:34†††† Thy hands were not bound, nor thy feet put into fetters: as a man falleth before wicked men, so fellest thou. And all the people wept again over him.
10-3:35†††† And when all the people came to cause David to eat meat while it was yet day, David sware, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if I taste bread, or ought else, till the sun be down.
10-5:3††††† So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel.
10-5:9††††† So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of David. And David built round about from Millo and inward.
10-5:25†††† And David did so, as the LORD had commanded him; and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gazer.
10-6:10†††† So David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.
10-6:12†††† And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.
10-6:13†††† And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.
10-6:15†††† So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
10-6:19†††† And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house.
10-7:8††††† Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:
10-7:17†††† According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
10-8:2††††† And he smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became Davidís servants, and brought gifts.
10-9:11†††† Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the kingís sons.
10-9:13†††† So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem: for he did eat continually at the kingís table; and was lame on both his feet.
10-10:14††† And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, then fled they also before Abishai, and entered into the city. So Joab returned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem.
10-10:19††† And when all the kings that were servants to Hadarezer saw that they were smitten before Israel, they made peace with Israel, and served them. So the Syrians feared to help the children of Ammon any more.
10-11:12††† And David said to Uriah, Tarry here to day also, and to morrow I will let thee depart. So Uriah abode in Jerusalem that day, and the morrow.
10-11:20††† And if so be that the kingís wrath arise, and he say unto thee, Wherefore approached ye so nigh unto the city when ye did fight? knew ye not that they would shoot from the wall?
10-11:22††† So the messenger went, and came and shewed David all that Joab had sent him for.
10-12:31††† And he brought forth the people that were therein, and put them under saws, and under harrows of iron, and under axes of iron, and made them pass through the brickkiln: and thus did he unto all the cities of the children of Ammon. So David and all the people returned unto Jerusalem.
10-13:2†††† And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do any thing to her.
10-13:6†††† So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.
10-13:8†††† So Tamar went to her brother Amnonís house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.
10-13:15††† Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.
10-13:20††† And Absalom her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but hold now thy peace, my sister: he is thy brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalomís house.
10-13:35††† And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the kingís sons come: as thy servant said, so it is.
10-13:38††† So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years.
10-14:3†††† And come to the king, and speak on this manner unto him. So Joab put the words in her mouth.
10-14:7†††† And, behold, the whole family is risen against thine handmaid, and they said, Deliver him that smote his brother, that we may kill him, for the life of his brother whom he slew; and we will destroy the heir also: and so they shall quench my coal which is left, and shall not leave to my husband neither name nor remainder upon the earth.
10-14:17††† Then thine handmaid said, The word of my lord the king shall now be comfortable: for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad: therefore the LORD thy God will be with thee.
10-14:23††† So Joab arose and went to Geshur, and brought Absalom to Jerusalem.
10-14:24††† And the king said, Let him turn to his own house, and let him not see my face. So Absalom returned to his own house, and saw not the kingís face.
10-14:25††† But in all Israel there was none to be so much praised as Absalom for his beauty: from the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.
10-14:28††† So Absalom dwelt two full years in Jerusalem, and saw not the kingís face.
10-14:33††† So Joab came to the king, and told him: and when he had called for Absalom, he came to the king, and bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king: and the king kissed Absalom.
10-15:2†††† And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city art thou? And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.
10-15:5†††† And it was so, that when any man came nigh to him to do him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him.
10-15:6†††† And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.
10-15:9†††† And the king said unto him, Go in peace. So he arose, and went to Hebron.
10-15:34††† But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy fatherís servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.
10-15:37††† So Hushai Davidís friend came into the city, and Absalom came into Jerusalem.
10-16:10††† And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the LORD hath said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so?
10-16:19††† And again, whom should I serve? should I not serve in the presence of his son? as I have served in thy fatherís presence, so will I be in thy presence.
10-16:22††† So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his fatherís concubines in the sight of all Israel.
10-16:23††† And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.
10-17:3†††† And I will bring back all the people unto thee: the man whom thou seekest is as if all returned: so all the people shall be in peace.
10-17:12††† So shall we come upon him in some place where he shall be found, and we will light upon him as the dew falleth on the ground: and of him and of all the men that are with him there shall not be left so much as one.
10-17:26††† So Israel and Absalom pitched in the land of Gilead.
10-18:6†††† So the people went out into the field against Israel: and the battle was in the wood of Ephraim;
10-19:13††† And say ye to Amasa, Art thou not of my bone, and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if thou be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.
10-19:14††† And he bowed the heart of all the men of Judah, even as the heart of one man; so that they sent this word unto the king, Return thou, and all thy servants.
10-19:15††† So the king returned, and came to Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, to go to meet the king, to conduct the king over Jordan.
10-20:2†††† So every man of Israel went up from after David, and followed Sheba the son of Bichri: but the men of Judah clave unto their king, from Jordan even to Jerusalem.
10-20:3†††† And David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king took the ten women his concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them in ward, and fed them, but went not in unto them. So they were shut up unto the day of their death, living in widowhood.
10-20:5†††† So Amasa went to assemble the men of Judah: but he tarried longer than the set time which he had appointed him.
10-20:10††† But Amasa took no heed to the sword that was in Joabís hand: so he smote him therewith in the fifth rib, and shed out his bowels to the ground, and struck him not again; and he died. So Joab and Abishai his brother pursued after Sheba the son of Bichri.
10-20:18††† Then she spake, saying, They were wont to speak in old time, saying, They shall surely ask counsel at Abel: and so they ended the matter.
10-20:21††† The matter is not so: but a man of mount Ephraim, Sheba the son of Bichri by name, hath lifted up his hand against the king, even against David: deliver him only, and I will depart from the city. And the woman said unto Joab, Behold, his head shall be thrown to thee over the wall.
10-22:4†††† I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
10-22:35††† He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
10-22:37††† Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.
10-23:5†††† Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.
10-24:8†††† So when they had gone through all the land, they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days.
10-24:13††† So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three daysí pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.
10-24:15††† So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men.
10-24:24††† And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
10-24:25††† And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.
11-1:3††††† So they sought for a fair damsel throughout all the coasts of Israel, and found Abishag a Shunammite, and brought her to the king.
11-1:6††††† And his father had not displeased him at any time in saying, Why hast thou done so? and he also was a very goodly man; and his mother bare him after Absalom.
11-1:30†††† Even as I sware unto thee by the LORD God of Israel, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my stead; even so will I certainly do this day.
11-1:36†††† And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king, and said, Amen: the LORD God of my lord the king say so too.
11-1:37†††† As the LORD hath been with my lord the king, even so be he with Solomon, and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord king David.
11-1:38†††† So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king Davidís mule, and brought him to Gihon.
11-1:40†††† And all the people came up after him, and the people piped with pipes, and rejoiced with great joy, so that the earth rent with the sound of them.
11-1:45†††† And Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him king in Gihon: and they are come up from thence rejoicing, so that the city rang again. This is the noise that ye have heard.
11-1:53†††† So king Solomon sent, and they brought him down from the altar. And he came and bowed himself to king Solomon: and Solomon said unto him, Go to thine house.
11-2:7††††† But shew kindness unto the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and let them be of those that eat at thy table: for so they came to me when I fled because of Absalom thy brother.
11-2:10†††† So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.
11-2:23†††† Then king Solomon sware by the LORD, saying, God do so to me, and more also, if Adonijah have not spoken this word against his own life.
11-2:27†††† So Solomon thrust out Abiathar from being priest unto the LORD; that he might fulfil the word of the LORD, which he spake concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.
11-2:34†††† So Benaiah the son of Jehoiada went up, and fell upon him, and slew him: and he was buried in his own house in the wilderness.
11-2:38†††† And Shimei said unto the king, The saying is good: as my lord the king hath said, so will thy servant do. And Shimei dwelt in Jerusalem many days.
11-2:46†††† So the king commanded Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; which went out, and fell upon him, that he died. And the kingdom was established in the hand of Solomon.
11-3:9††††† Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
11-3:12†††† Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
11-3:13†††† And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
11-4:1††††† So king Solomon was king over all Israel.
11-5:4††††† But now the LORD my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.
11-5:10†††† So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to all his desire.
11-5:18†††† And Solomonís builders and Hiramís builders did hew them, and the stonesquarers: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.
11-6:7††††† And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor ax nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.
11-6:9††††† So he built the house, and finished it; and covered the house with beams and boards of cedar.
11-6:14†††† So Solomon built the house, and finished it.
11-6:20†††† And the oracle in the forepart was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and so covered the altar which was of cedar.
11-6:21†††† So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.
11-6:26†††† The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub.
11-6:27†††† And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.
11-6:33†††† So also made he for the door of the temple posts of olive tree, a fourth part of the wall.
11-6:38†††† And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.
11-7:9††††† All these were of costly stones, according to the measures of hewed stones, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and so on the outside toward the great court.
11-7:18†††† And he made the pillars, and two rows round about upon the one network, to cover the chapiters that were upon the top, with pomegranates: and so did he for the other chapiter.
11-7:22†††† And upon the top of the pillars was lily work: so was the work of the pillars finished.
11-7:40†††† And Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the basons. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he made king Solomon for the house of the LORD:
11-7:51†††† So was ended all the work that king Solomon made for the house of the LORD. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated; even the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, did he put among the treasures of the house of the LORD.
11-8:11†††† So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.
11-8:25†††† Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.
11-8:46†††† If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;
11-8:48†††† And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name:
11-8:54†††† And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.
11-8:63†††† And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD.
11-9:25†††† And three times in a year did Solomon offer burnt offerings and peace offerings upon the altar which he built unto the LORD, and he burnt incense upon the altar that was before the LORD. So he finished the house.
11-10:13††† And king Solomon gave unto the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. So she turned and went to her own country, she and her servants.
11-10:23††† So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom.
11-10:29††† And a chariot came up and went out of Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, did they bring them out by their means.
11-11:19††† And Hadad found great favour in the sight of Pharaoh, so that he gave him to wife the sister of his own wife, the sister of Tahpenes the queen.
11-12:12††† So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam the third day, as the king had appointed, saying, Come to me again the third day.
11-12:16††† So when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: to your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David. So Israel departed unto their tents.
11-12:19††† So Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day.
11-12:32††† And Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah, and he offered upon the altar. So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made: and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he had made.
11-12:33††† So he offered upon the altar which he had made in Bethel the fifteenth day of the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own heart; and ordained a feast unto the children of Israel: and he offered upon the altar, and burnt incense.
11-13:4†††† And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him.
11-13:9†††† For so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest.
11-13:10††† So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel.
11-13:13††† And he said unto his sons, Saddle me the ass. So they saddled him the ass: and he rode thereon,
11-13:19††† So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water.
11-14:4†††† And Jeroboamís wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah. But Ahijah could not see; for his eyes were set by reason of his age.
11-14:6†††† And it was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, that he said, Come in, thou wife of Jeroboam; why feignest thou thyself to be another? for I am sent to thee with heavy tidings.
11-14:28††† And it was so, when the king went into the house of the LORD, that the guard bare them, and brought them back into the guard chamber.
11-15:20††† So Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of the hosts which he had against the cities of Israel, and smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelbethmaachah, and all Cinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.
11-16:6†††† So Baasha slept with his fathers, and was buried in Tirzah: and Elah his son reigned in his stead.
11-16:22††† But the people that followed Omri prevailed against the people that followed Tibni the son of Ginath: so Tibni died, and Omri reigned.
11-16:28††† So Omri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria: and Ahab his son reigned in his stead.
11-17:5†††† So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
11-17:10††† So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
11-17:17††† And it came to pass after these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick; and his sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left in him.
11-18:4†††† For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the LORD, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)
11-18:6†††† So they divided the land between them to pass throughout it: Ahab went one way by himself, and Obadiah went another way by himself.
11-18:12††† And it shall come to pass, as soon as I am gone from thee, that the spirit of the LORD shall carry thee whither I know not; and so when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find thee, he shall slay me: but I thy servant fear the LORD from my youth.
11-18:16††† So Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him: and Ahab went to meet Elijah.
11-18:20††† So Ahab sent unto all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto mount Carmel.
11-18:42††† So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,
11-19:2†††† Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.
11-19:13††† And it was so, when Elijah heard it that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?
11-19:19††† So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.
11-20:10††† And Benhadad sent unto him, and said, The gods do so unto me, and more also, if the dust of Samaria shall suffice for handfuls for all the people that follow me.
11-20:19††† So these young men of the princes of the provinces came out of the city, and the army which followed them.
11-20:25††† And number thee an army, like the army that thou hast lost, horse for horse, and chariot for chariot: and we will fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they. And he hearkened unto their voice, and did so.
11-20:29††† And they pitched one over against the other seven days. And so it was, that in the seventh day the battle was joined: and the children of Israel slew of the Syrians an hundred thousand footmen in one day.
11-20:32††† So they girded sackcloth on their loins, and put ropes on their heads, and came to the king of Israel, and said, Thy servant Benhadad saith, I pray thee, let me live. And he said, Is he yet alive? he is my brother.
11-20:34††† And Benhadad said unto him, The cities, which my father took from thy father, I will restore; and thou shalt make streets for thee in Damascus, as my father made in Samaria. Then said Ahab, I will send thee away with this covenant. So he made a covenant with him, and sent him away.
11-20:37††† Then he found another man, and said, Smite me, I pray thee. And the man smote him, so that in smiting he wounded him.
11-20:38††† So the prophet departed, and waited for the king by the way, and disguised himself with ashes upon his face.
11-20:40††† And as thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Israel said unto him, So shall thy judgment be; thyself hast decided it.
11-21:5†††† But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread?
11-21:8†††† So she wrote letters in Ahabís name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth.
11-22:8†††† And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
11-22:12††† And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramothgilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the kingís hand.
11-22:15††† So he came to the king. And the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
11-22:22††† And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.
11-22:29††† So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead.
11-22:37††† So the king died, and was brought to Samaria; and they buried the king in Samaria.
11-22:40††† So Ahab slept with his fathers; and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.
12-1:17†††† So he died according to the word of the LORD which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram reigned in his stead in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah; because he had no son.
12-2:2††††† And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.
12-2:4††††† And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.
12-2:8††††† And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
12-2:10†††† And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.
12-2:22†††† So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.
12-3:9††††† So the king of Israel went, and the king of Judah, and the king of Edom: and they fetched a compass of seven daysí journey: and there was no water for the host, and for the cattle that followed them.
12-3:12†††† And Jehoshaphat said, The word of the LORD is with him. So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.
12-3:24†††† And when they came to the camp of Israel, the Israelites rose up and smote the Moabites, so that they fled before them: but they went forward smiting the Moabites, even in their country.
12-4:5††††† So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.
12-4:8††††† And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.
12-4:25†††† So she went and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite:
12-4:36†††† And he called Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she was come in unto him, he said, Take up thy son.
12-4:40†††† So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.
12-4:44†††† So he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the LORD.
12-5:8††††† And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.
12-5:9††††† So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.
12-5:12†††† Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
12-5:19†††† And he said unto him, Go in peace. So he departed from him a little way.
12-5:21†††† So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well?
12-6:4††††† So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood.
12-6:23†††† And he prepared great provision for them: and when they had eaten and drunk, he sent them away, and they went to their master. So the bands of Syria came no more into the land of Israel.
12-6:29†††† So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son.
12-6:31†††† Then he said, God do so and more also to me, if the head of Elisha the son of Shaphat shall stand on him this day.
12-7:10†††† So they came and called unto the porter of the city: and they told them, saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but horses tied, and asses tied, and the tents as they were.
12-7:16†††† And the people went out, and spoiled the tents of the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the LORD.
12-7:20†††† And so it fell out unto him: for the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died.
12-8:6††††† And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.
12-8:9††††† So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camelsí burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Benhadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?
12-8:14†††† So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that thou shouldest surely recover.
12-8:15†††† And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took a thick cloth, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead.
12-8:21†††† So Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled into their tents.
12-9:4††††† So the young man, even the young man the prophet, went to Ramothgilead.
12-9:14†††† So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept Ramothgilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.
12-9:16†††† So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram.
12-9:18†††† So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came to them, but he cometh not again.
12-9:22†††† And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?
12-9:27†††† But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.
12-9:33†††† And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot.
12-9:37†††† And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.
12-10:11††† So Jehu slew all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men, and his kinsfolks, and his priests, until he left him none remaining.
12-10:16††† And he said, Come with me, and see my zeal for the LORD. So they made him ride in his chariot.
12-10:21††† And Jehu sent through all Israel: and all the worshippers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left that came not. And they came into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal was full from one end to another.
12-11:2†††† But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the kingís sons which were slain; and they hid him, even him and his nurse, in the bedchamber from Athaliah, so that he was not slain.
12-11:6†††† And a third part shall be at the gate of Sur; and a third part at the gate behind the guard: so shall ye keep the watch of the house, that it be not broken down.
12-12:6†††† But it was so, that in the three and twentieth year of king Jehoash the priests had not repaired the breaches of the house.
12-12:10††† And it was so, when they saw that there was much money in the chest, that the kingís scribe and the high priest came up, and they put up in bags, and told the money that was found in the house of the LORD.
12-13:5†††† (And the LORD gave Israel a saviour, so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians: and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents, as beforetime.
12-13:24††† So Hazael king of Syria died; and Benhadad his son reigned in his stead.
12-15:5†††† And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the kingís son was over the house, judging the people of the land.
12-15:7†††† So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.
12-15:12††† This was the word of the LORD which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation. And so it came to pass.
12-15:20††† And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.
12-16:7†††† So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, saying, I am thy servant and thy son: come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, which rise up against me.
12-16:11††† And Urijah the priest built an altar according to all that king Ahaz had sent from Damascus: so Urijah the priest made it against king Ahaz came from Damascus.
12-17:4†††† And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.
12-17:7†††† For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods,
12-17:23††† Until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.
12-17:25††† And so it was at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they feared not the LORD: therefore the LORD sent lions among them, which slew some of them.
12-17:32††† So they feared the LORD, and made unto themselves of the lowest of them priests of the high places, which sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places.
12-17:41††† So these nations feared the LORD, and served their graven images, both their children, and their childrenís children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.
12-18:5†††† He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.
12-18:21††† Now, behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt, on which if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt unto all that trust on him.
12-19:5†††† So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah.
12-19:8†††† So Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah: for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.
12-19:36††† So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.
12-22:14††† So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her.
12-23:18††† And he said, Let him alone; let no man move his bones. So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet that came out of Samaria.
12-24:6†††† So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.
12-25:6†††† So they took the king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they gave judgment upon him.
12-25:21††† And the king of Babylon smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.
13-9:1††††† So all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they were written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, who were carried away to Babylon for their transgression.
13-9:23†††† So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the house of the LORD, namely, the house of the tabernacle, by wards.
13-10:4†††† Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.

13-10:13††† So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it;
13-11:6†††† And David said, Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain. So Joab the son of Zeruiah went first up, and was chief.
13-11:9†††† So David waxed greater and greater: for the LORD of hosts was with him.
13-13:4†††† And all the congregation said that they would do so: for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.
13-13:5†††† So David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor of Egypt even unto the entering of Hemath, to bring the ark of God from Kirjathjearim.
13-13:13††† So David brought not the ark home to himself to the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.
13-14:11††† So they came up to Baalperazim; and David smote them there. Then David said, God hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking forth of waters: therefore they called the name of that place Baalperazim.
13-15:14††† So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel.
13-15:17††† So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
13-15:19††† So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with cymbals of brass;
13-15:25††† So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obededom with joy.
13-16:1†††† So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.
13-16:37††† So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every dayís work required:
13-17:15††† According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
13-18:14††† So David reigned over all Israel, and executed judgment and justice among all his people.
13-19:2†††† And David said, I will shew kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, because his father shewed kindness to me. And David sent messengers to comfort him concerning his father. So the servants of David came into the land of the children of Ammon to Hanun, to comfort him.
13-19:7†††† So they hired thirty and two thousand chariots, and the king of Maachah and his people; who came and pitched before Medeba. And the children of Ammon gathered themselves together from their cities, and came to battle.
13-19:14††† So Joab and the people that were with him drew nigh before the Syrians unto the battle; and they fled before him.
13-19:17††† And it was told David; and he gathered all Israel, and passed over Jordan, and came upon them, and set the battle in array against them. So when David had put the battle in array against the Syrians, they fought with him.
13-20:3†††† And he brought out the people that were in it, and cut them with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes. Even so dealt David with all the cities of the children of Ammon. And David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
13-21:3†††† And Joab answered, The LORD make his people an hundred times so many more as they be: but, my lord the king, are they not all my lordís servants? why then doth my lord require this thing? why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel?
13-21:11††† So Gad came to David, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Choose thee
13-21:14††† So the LORD sent pestilence upon Israel: and there fell of Israel seventy thousand men.
13-21:25††† So David gave to Ornan for the place six hundred shekels of gold by weight.
13-22:5†††† And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the LORD must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.
13-23:1†††† So when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.
13-25:7†††† So the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the LORD, even all that were cunning, was two hundred fourscore and eight.
13-29:14††† But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.
14-1:3††††† So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.
14-1:10†††† Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?
14-1:17†††† And they fetched up, and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so brought they out horses for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, by their means.
14-2:3††††† And Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, As thou didst deal with David my father, and didst send him cedars to build him an house to dwell therein, even so deal with me.
14-5:14†††† So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.
14-6:16†††† Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.
14-6:31†††† That they may fear thee, to walk in thy ways, so long as they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.
14-7:5††††† And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep: so the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.
14-7:21†††† And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one that passeth by it; so that he shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and unto this house?
14-8:14†††† And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.
14-8:16†††† Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was perfected.
14-9:12†††† And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which she had brought unto the king. So she turned, and went away to her own land, she and her servants.
14-10:3†††† And they sent and called him. So Jeroboam and all Israel came and spake to Rehoboam, saying,
14-10:12††† So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam on the third day, as the king bade, saying, Come again to me on the third day.
14-10:15††† So the king hearkened not unto the people: for the cause was of God, that the LORD might perform his word, which he spake by the hand of Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
14-10:16††† And when all Israel saw that the king would not hearken unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? and we have none inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to your tents, O Israel: and now, David, see to thine own house. So all Israel went to their tents.
14-11:17††† So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah, and made Rehoboam the son of Solomon strong, three years: for three years they walked in the way of David and Solomon.
14-12:9†††† So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the kingís house; he took all: he carried away also the shields of gold which Solomon had made.
14-12:13††† So king Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem, and reigned: for Rehoboam was one and forty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his motherís name was Naamah an Ammonitess.
14-13:9†††† Have ye not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of the nations of other lands? so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no gods.
14-13:13††† But Jeroboam caused an ambushment to come about behind them: so they were before Judah, and the ambushment was behind them.
14-13:17††† And Abijah and his people slew them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men.
14-14:1†††† So Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead. In his days the land was quiet ten years.
14-14:7†††† Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.
14-14:12††† So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.
14-15:10††† So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.
14-17:10††† And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.
14-18:7†††† And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he never prophesied good unto me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
14-18:11††† And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramothgilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
14-18:21††† And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the LORD said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do even so.
14-18:28††† So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead.
14-18:29††† And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and will go to the battle; but put thou on thy robes. So the king of Israel disguised himself; and they went to the battle.
14-19:10††† And what cause soever shall come to you of your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and judgments, ye shall even warn them that they trespass not against the LORD, and so wrath come upon you, and upon your brethren: this do, and ye shall not trespass.
14-20:6†††† And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?
14-20:20††† And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
14-20:25††† And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.
14-20:30††† So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about.
14-21:10††† So the Edomites revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. The same time also did Libnah revolt from under his hand; because he had forsaken the LORD God of his fathers.
14-21:17††† And they came up into Judah, and brake into it, and carried away all the substance that was found in the kingís house, and his sons also, and his wives; so that there was never a son left him, save Jehoahaz, the youngest of his sons.
14-21:19††† And it came to pass, that in process of time, after the end of two years, his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness: so he died of sore diseases. And his people made no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers.
14-22:1†††† And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his youngest son king in his stead: for the band of men that came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the eldest. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned.
14-22:9†††† And he sought Ahaziah: and they caught him, (for he was hid in Samaria,) and brought him to Jehu: and when they had slain him, they buried him: Because, said they, he is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart. So the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom.
14-22:11††† But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the kingís sons that were slain, and put him and his nurse in a bedchamber. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest, (for she was the sister of Ahaziah,) hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not.
14-23:8†††† So the Levites and all Judah did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest had commanded, and took every man his men that were to come in on the sabbath, with them that were to go out on the sabbath: for Jehoiada the priest dismissed not the courses.
14-23:15††† So they laid hands on her; and when she was come to the entering of the horse gate by the kingís house, they slew her there.
14-24:13††† So the workmen wrought, and the work was perfected by them, and they set the house of God in his state, and strengthened it.
14-24:24††† For the army of the Syrians came with a small company of men, and the LORD delivered a very great host into their hand, because they had forsaken the LORD God of their fathers. So they executed judgment against Joash.
14-25:21††† So Joash the king of Israel went up; and they saw one another in the face, both he and Amaziah king of Judah, at Bethshemesh, which belongeth to Judah.
14-26:23††† So Uzziah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the field of the burial which belonged to the kings; for they said, He is a leper: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.
14-27:5†††† He fought also with the king of the Ammonites, and prevailed against them. And the children of Ammon gave him the same year an hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of Ammon pay unto him, both the second year, and the third.
14-27:6†††† So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God.
14-28:14††† So the armed men left the captives and the spoil before the princes and all the congregation.
14-29:17††† Now they began on the first day of the first month to sanctify, and on the eighth day of the month came they to the porch of the LORD: so they sanctified the house of the LORD in eight days; and in the sixteenth day of the first month they made an end.
14-29:22††† So they killed the bullocks, and the priests received the blood, and sprinkled it on the altar: likewise, when they had killed the rams, they sprinkled the blood upon the altar: they killed also the lambs, and they sprinkled the blood upon the altar.
14-29:25††† And he set the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, and of Gad the kingís seer, and Nathan the prophet: for so was the commandment of the LORD by his prophets.
14-29:34††† But the priests were too few, so that they could not flay all the burnt offerings: wherefore their brethren the Levites did help them, till the work was ended, and until the other priests had sanctified themselves: for the Levites were more upright in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.
14-29:35††† And also the burnt offerings were in abundance, with the fat of the peace offerings, and the drink offerings for every burnt offering. So the service of the house of the LORD was set in order.
14-30:5†††† So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel at Jerusalem: for they had not done it of a long time in such sort as it was written.
14-30:6†††† So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again unto the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return to the remnant of you, that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.
14-30:9†††† For if ye turn again unto the LORD, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
14-30:10††† So the posts passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh even unto Zebulun: but they laughed them to scorn, and mocked them.
14-30:26††† So there was great joy in Jerusalem: for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.
14-32:4†††† So there was gathered much people together, who stopped all the fountains, and the brook that ran through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water?
14-32:17††† He wrote also letters to rail on the LORD God of Israel, and to speak against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of other lands have not delivered their people out of mine hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver his people out of mine hand.
14-32:21††† And the LORD sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth of his own bowels slew him there with the sword.
14-32:23††† And many brought gifts unto the LORD to Jerusalem, and presents to Hezekiah king of Judah: so that he was magnified in the sight of all nations from thenceforth.
14-32:26††† Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the LORD came not upon them in the days of Hezekiah.
14-33:8†††† Neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.
14-33:9†††† So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, and to do worse than the heathen, whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel.
14-33:20††† So Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house: and Amon his son reigned in his stead.
14-34:6†††† And so did he in the cities of Manasseh, and Ephraim, and Simeon, even unto Naphtali, with their mattocks round about.
14-34:26††† And as for the king of Judah, who sent you to enquire of the LORD, so shall ye say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel concerning the words which thou hast heard;
14-34:28††† Behold, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered to thy grave in peace, neither shall thine eyes see all the evil that I will bring upon this place, and upon the inhabitants of the same. So they brought the king word again.
14-35:6†††† So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that they may do according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
14-35:10††† So the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the kingís commandment.
14-35:12††† And they removed the burnt offerings, that they might give according to the divisions of the families of the people, to offer unto the LORD, as it is written in the book of Moses. And so did they with the oxen.
14-35:16††† So all the service of the LORD was prepared the same day, to keep the passover, and to offer burnt offerings upon the altar of the LORD, according to the commandment of king Josiah.
15-2:70†††† So the priests, and the Levites, and some of the people, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims, dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
15-3:13†††† So that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people: for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off.
15-4:13†††† Be it known now unto the king, that, if this city be builded, and the walls set up again, then will they not pay toll, tribute, and custom, and so thou shalt endamage the revenue of the kings.
15-4:15†††† That search may be made in the book of the records of thy fathers: so shalt thou find in the book of the records, and know that this city is a rebellious city, and hurtful unto kings and provinces, and that they have moved sedition within the same of old time: for which cause was this city destroyed.
15-4:24†††† Then ceased the work of the house of God which is at Jerusalem. So it ceased unto the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.
15-5:17†††† Now therefore, if it seem good to the king, let there be search made in the kingís treasure house, which is there at Babylon, whether it be so, that a decree was made of Cyrus the king to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and let the king send his pleasure to us concerning this matter.
15-6:13†††† Then Tatnai, governor on this side the river, Shetharboznai, and their companions, according to that which Darius the king had sent, so they did speedily.
15-8:23†††† So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was intreated of us.
15-8:30†††† So took the priests and the Levites the weight of the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, to bring them to Jerusalem unto the house of our God.
15-9:2††††† For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass.
15-9:14†††† Should we again break thy commandments, and join in affinity with the people of these abominations? wouldest not thou be angry with us till thou hadst consumed us, so that there should be no remnant nor escaping?
15-10:12††† Then all the congregation answered and said with a loud voice, As thou hast said, so must we do.
15-10:16††† And the children of the captivity did so. And Ezra the priest, with certain chief of the fathers, after the house of their fathers, and all of them by their names, were separated, and sat down in the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter.
16-2:4††††† Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.
16-2:6††††† And the king said unto me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time.
16-2:11†††† So I came to Jerusalem, and was there three days.
16-2:15†††† Then went I up in the night by the brook, and viewed the wall, and turned back, and entered by the gate of the valley, and so returned.
16-2:18†††† Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the kingís words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.
16-4:6††††† So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.
16-4:10†††† And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed, and there is much rubbish; so that we are not able to build the wall.
16-4:18†††† For the builders, every one had his sword girded by his side, and so builded. And he that sounded the trumpet was by me.
16-4:21†††† So we laboured in the work: and half of them held the spears from the rising of the morning till the stars appeared.
16-4:23†††† So neither I, nor my brethren, nor my servants, nor the men of the guard which followed me, none of us put off our clothes, saving that every one put them off for washing.
16-5:12†††† Then said they, We will restore them, and will require nothing of them; so will we do as thou sayest. Then I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they should do according to this promise.
16-5:13†††† Also I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labour, that performeth not this promise, even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and praised the LORD. And the people did according to this promise.
16-5:15†††† But the former governors that had been before me were chargeable unto the people, and had taken of them bread and wine, beside forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people: but so did not I, because of the fear of God.
16-6:3††††† And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?
16-6:13†††† Therefore was he hired, that I should be afraid, and do so, and sin, and that they might have matter for an evil report, that they might reproach me.
16-6:15†††† So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days.
16-7:73†††† So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.
16-8:8††††† So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.
16-8:11†††† So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved.
16-8:16†††† So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.
16-8:17†††† And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.
16-9:10†††† And shewedst signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land: for thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them. So didst thou get thee a name, as it is this day.
16-9:11†††† And thou didst divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and their persecutors thou threwest into the deeps, as a stone into the mighty waters.
16-9:21†††† Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.
16-9:22†††† Moreover thou gavest them kingdoms and nations, and didst divide them into corners: so they possessed the land of Sihon, and the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king of Bashan.
16-9:24†††† So the children went in and possessed the land, and thou subduedst before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gavest them into their hands, with their kings, and the people of the land, that they might do with them as they would.
16-9:25†††† And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells digged, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in thy great goodness.
16-9:28†††† But after they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and many times didst thou deliver them according to thy mercies;
16-12:40††† So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:
16-12:43††† Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.
16-13:20††† So the merchants and sellers of all kind of ware lodged without Jerusalem once or twice.
16-13:21††† Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge ye about the wall? if ye do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath.
17-1:8††††† And the drinking was according to the law; none did compel: for so the king had appointed to all the officers of his house, that they should do according to every manís pleasure.
17-1:13†††† Then the king said to the wise men, which knew the times, (for so was the kingís manner toward all that knew law and judgment:
17-1:17†††† For this deed of the queen shall come abroad unto all women, so that they shall despise their husbands in their eyes, when it shall be reported, The king Ahasuerus commanded Vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she came not.
17-2:4††††† And let the maiden which pleaseth the king be queen instead of Vashti. And the thing pleased the king; and he did so.
17-2:8††††† So it came to pass, when the kingís commandment and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered together unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was brought also unto the kingís house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.
17-2:12†††† Now when every maidís turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the women;)
17-2:16†††† So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
17-2:17†††† And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.
17-3:2††††† And all the kingís servants, that were in the kingís gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence.
17-4:4††††† So Estherís maids and her chamberlains came and told it her. Then was the queen exceedingly grieved; and she sent raiment to clothe Mordecai, and to take away his sackcloth from him: but he received it not.
17-4:6††††† So Hatach went forth to Mordecai unto the street of the city, which was before the kingís gate.
17-4:16†††† Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
17-4:17†††† So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.
17-5:2††††† And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.
17-5:5††††† Then the king said, Cause Haman to make haste, that he may do as Esther hath said. So the king and Haman came to the banquet that Esther had prepared.
17-5:13†††† Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the kingís gate.
17-6:6††††† So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?
17-6:10†††† Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the kingís gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.
17-7:1††††† So the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen.
17-7:5††††† Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?
17-7:10†††† So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the kingís wrath pacified.
17-8:4††††† Then the king held out the golden sceptre toward Esther. So Esther arose, and stood before the king,
17-8:14†††† So the posts that rode upon mules and camels went out, being hastened and pressed on by the kingís commandment. And the decree was given at Shushan the palace.
17-9:14†††† And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and they hanged Hamanís ten sons.
17-9:27†††† The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their appointed time every year;
18-1:3††††† His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.

18-2:7††††† So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.
18-2:13†††† So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.
18-5:12†††† He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.
18-5:16†††† So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth.
18-5:27†††† Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good.

18-9:30†††† If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean;

18-13:9†††† Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him?
18-14:12††† So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.
18-21:4†††† As for me, is my complaint to man? and if it were so, why should not my spirit be troubled?

18-42:9†††† So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.
18-42:12††† So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
18-42:15††† And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
18-42:17††† So Job died, being old and full of days.
19-1:4††††† The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
19-7:7††††† So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.

23-20:4†††† So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.
23-21:1†††† The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.
23-22:22††† And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
23-23:1†††† The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish; for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in: from the land of Chittim it is revealed to them.
23-23:5†††† As at the report concerning Egypt, so shall they be sorely pained at the report of Tyre.
23-24:2†††† And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.
23-26:17††† Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O LORD.
23-28:8†††† For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.
23-29:8†††† It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.
23-30:14††† And he shall break it as the breaking of the pottersí vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit.
23-31:4†††† For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.
23-31:5†††† As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.
23-36:6†††† Lo, thou trustest in the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust in him.
23-37:5†††† So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah.
23-37:8†††† So Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah: for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.
23-37:37††† So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.
23-38:8†††† Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
23-38:13††† I reckoned till morning, that, as a lion, so will he break all my bones: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.
23-38:14††† Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake for me.
23-38:16††† O Lord, by these things men live, and in all these things is the life of my spirit: so wilt thou recover me, and make me to live.
23-40:20††† He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved.
23-41:7†††† So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved.
23-47:7†††† And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.
23-47:12††† Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.
23-52:14††† As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:
23-52:15††† So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.
23-53:7†††† He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
23-54:9†††† For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
23-55:9†††† For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
23-55:11††† So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
23-59:19††† So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
23-60:15††† Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
23-61:11††† For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
23-62:5†††† For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.
23-63:8†††† For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour.
23-63:14††† As a beast goeth down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD caused him to rest: so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name.
23-65:8†††† Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servantsí sakes, that I may not destroy them all.
23-66:13††† As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
23-66:22††† For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
24-2:26†††† As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets,
24-2:36†††† Why gaddest thou about so much to change thy way? thou also shalt be ashamed of Egypt, as thou wast ashamed of Assyria.
24-3:20†††† Surely as a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD.
24-5:19†††† And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the LORD our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not yours.
24-5:27†††† As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.
24-5:31†††† The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
24-6:7††††† As a fountain casteth out her waters, so she casteth out her wickedness: violence and spoil is heard in her; before me continually is grief and wounds.
24-9:10†††† For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.
24-10:18††† For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this once, and will distress them, that they may find it so.
24-11:4†††† Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:
24-11:5†††† That I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then answered I, and said, So be it, O LORD.
24-13:2†††† So I got a girdle according to the word of the LORD, and put it on my loins.
24-13:5†††† So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the LORD commanded me.
24-13:11††† For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.
24-17:11††† As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.
24-18:4†††† And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
24-18:6†††† O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potterís hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
24-19:11††† And shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaketh a potterís vessel, that cannot be made whole again: and they shall bury them in Tophet, till there be no place to bury.
24-21:2†††† Enquire, I pray thee, of the LORD for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that the LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us.
24-24:2†††† One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.
24-24:3†††† Then said the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.
24-24:5†††† Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.
24-24:8†††† And as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt:
24-26:3†††† If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings.
24-26:7†††† So the priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the LORD.
24-28:6†††† Even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the LORD do so: the LORD perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the vessels of the LORDíS house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon into this place.
24-28:11††† And Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all nations within the space of two full years. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.
24-28:17††† So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.
24-29:17††† Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.
24-30:7†††† Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacobís trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
24-31:28††† And it shall come to pass, that like as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, saith the LORD.
24-32:8†††† So Hanameel mine uncleís son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.
24-32:11††† So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open:
24-32:42††† For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.
24-33:22††† As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.
24-33:26††† Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
24-34:5†††† But thou shalt die in peace: and with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings which were before thee, so shall they burn odours for thee; and they will lament thee, saying, Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, saith the LORD.
24-35:11††† But it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians: so we dwell at Jerusalem.
24-36:14††† Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hand the roll wherein thou hast read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them.
24-36:15††† And they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read it in their ears.
24-36:21††† So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribeís chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king.
24-37:14††† Then said Jeremiah, It is false; I fall not away to the Chaldeans. But he hearkened not to him: so Irijah took Jeremiah, and brought him to the princes.
24-38:6†††† Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the prison: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire.
24-38:11††† So Ebedmelech took the men with him, and went into the house of the king under the treasury, and took thence old cast clouts and old rotten rags, and let them down by cords into the dungeon to Jeremiah.
24-38:12††† And Ebedmelech the Ethiopian said unto Jeremiah, Put now these old cast clouts and rotten rags under thine armholes under the cords. And Jeremiah did so.
24-38:13††† So they drew up Jeremiah with cords, and took him up out of the dungeon: and Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.
24-38:16††† So Zedekiah the king sware secretly unto Jeremiah, saying, As the LORD liveth, that made us this soul, I will not put thee to death, neither will I give thee into the hand of these men that seek thy life.
24-38:20††† But Jeremiah said, They shall not deliver thee. Obey, I beseech thee, the voice of the LORD, which I speak unto thee: so it shall be well unto thee, and thy soul shall live.
24-38:23††† So they shall bring out all thy wives and thy children to the Chaldeans: and thou shalt not escape out of their hand, but shalt be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon: and thou shalt cause this city to be burned with fire.
24-38:27††† Then came all the princes unto Jeremiah, and asked him: and he told them according to all these words that the king had commanded. So they left off speaking with him; for the matter was not perceived.
24-38:28††† So Jeremiah abode in the court of the prison until the day that Jerusalem was taken: and he was there when Jerusalem was taken.
24-39:13††† So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard sent, and Nebushasban, Rabsaris, and Nergalsharezer, Rabmag, and all the king of Babylonís princes;
24-39:14††† Even they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the prison, and committed him unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, that he should carry him home: so he dwelt among the people.
24-40:5†††† Now while he was not yet gone back, he said, Go back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people: or go wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go.
24-41:7†††† And it was so, when they came into the midst of the city, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah slew them, and cast them into the midst of the pit, he, and the men that were with him.
24-41:8†††† But ten men were found among them that said unto Ishmael, Slay us not: for we have treasures in the field, of wheat, and of barley, and of oil, and of honey. So he forbare, and slew them not among their brethren.
24-41:14††† So all the people that Ishmael had carried away captive from Mizpah cast about and returned, and went unto Johanan the son of Kareah.
24-42:17††† So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them.
24-42:18††† For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As mine anger and my fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Egypt: and ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see this place no more.
24-42:20††† For ye dissembled in your hearts, when ye sent me unto the LORD your God, saying, Pray for us unto the LORD our God; and according unto all that the LORD our God shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do it.
24-43:4†††† So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of the LORD, to dwell in the land of Judah.
24-43:7†††† So they came into the land of Egypt: for they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: thus came they even to Tahpanhes.
24-44:14††† So that none of the remnant of Judah, which are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall escape or remain, that they should return into the land of Judah, to the which they have a desire to return to dwell there: for none shall return but such as shall escape.
24-44:22††† So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.
24-46:18††† As I live, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts, Surely as Tabor is among the mountains, and as Carmel by the sea, so shall he come.
24-48:30††† I know his wrath, saith the LORD; but it shall not be so; his lies shall not so effect it.
24-48:39††† They shall howl, saying, How is it broken down! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! so shall Moab be a derision and a dismaying to all them about him.
24-50:40††† As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein.
24-51:8†††† Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed.
24-51:49††† As Babylon hath caused the slain of Israel to fall, so at Babylon shall fall the slain of all the earth.
24-51:60††† So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written against Babylon.
24-52:5†††† So the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.
24-52:6†††† And in the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.
24-52:26††† So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.
25-2:22†††† Thou hast called as in a solemn day my terrors round about, so that in the day of the LORDíS anger none escaped nor remained: those that I have swaddled and brought up hath mine enemy consumed.
25-3:29†††† He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope.
25-4:14†††† They have wandered as blind men in the streets, they have polluted themselves with blood, so that men could not touch their garments.
25-5:20†††† Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, and forsake us so long time?
26-1:18†††† As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.
26-1:28†††† As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
26-3:2††††† So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll.
26-3:14†††† So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.
26-4:5††††† For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
26-5:15†††† So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it.
26-5:17†††† So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it.
26-6:14†††† So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
26-8:5††††† Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.
26-8:10†††† So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about.
26-11:24††† Afterwards the spirit took me up, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.
26-12:7†††† And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for captivity, and in the even I digged through the wall with mine hand; I brought it forth in the twilight, and I bare it upon my shoulder in their sight.
26-12:11††† Say, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done unto them: they shall remove and go into captivity.
26-13:14††† So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
26-14:15††† If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man may pass through because of the beasts:
26-14:17††† Or if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off man and beast from it:
26-15:6†††† Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
26-16:16††† And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.
26-16:42††† So will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.
26-16:44††† Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.
26-17:6†††† And it grew, and became a spreading vine of low stature, whose branches turned toward him, and the roots thereof were under him: so it became a vine, and brought forth branches, and shot forth sprigs.
26-18:4†††† Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
26-18:30††† Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
26-19:14††† And fire is gone out of a rod of her branches, which hath devoured her fruit, so that she hath no strong rod to be a sceptre to rule. This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.
26-20:36††† Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD.
26-21:24††† Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand.
26-22:20††† As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you.
26-22:22††† As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.
26-23:18††† So she discovered her whoredoms, and discovered her nakedness: then my mind was alienated from her, like as my mind was alienated from her sister.
26-23:27††† Thus will I make thy lewdness to cease from thee, and thy whoredom brought from the land of Egypt: so that thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more.
26-23:44††† Yet they went in unto her, as they go in unto a woman that playeth the harlot: so went they in unto Aholah and unto Aholibah, the lewd women.
26-24:18††† So I spake unto the people in the morning: and at even my wife died; and I did in the morning as I was commanded.
26-24:19††† And the people said unto me, Wilt thou not tell us what these things are to us, that thou doest so?
26-28:14††† Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
26-31:9†††† I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied him.
26-33:7†††† So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
26-34:12††† As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
26-35:15††† As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
26-36:38††† As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
26-37:7†††† So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.
26-37:10††† So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
26-37:23††† Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.
26-38:20††† So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
26-39:7†††† So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
26-39:10††† So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.
26-39:22††† So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.
26-39:23††† And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.
26-40:5†††† And behold a wall on the outside of the house round about, and in the manís hand a measuring reed of six cubits long by the cubit and an hand breadth: so he measured the breadth of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed.
26-40:47††† So he measured the court, an hundred cubits long, and an hundred cubits broad, foursquare; and the altar that was before the house.
26-41:4†††† So he measured the length thereof, twenty cubits; and the breadth, twenty cubits, before the temple: and he said unto me, This is the most holy place.
26-41:7†††† And there was an enlarging, and a winding about still upward to the side chambers: for the winding about of the house went still upward round about the house: therefore the breadth of the house was still upward, and so increased from the lowest chamber to the highest by the midst.
26-41:13††† So he measured the house, an hundred cubits long; and the separate place, and the building, with the walls thereof, an hundred cubits long;
26-41:18††† And it was made with cherubims and palm trees, so that a palm tree was between a cherub and a cherub; and every cherub had two faces;
26-41:19††† So that the face of a man was toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side: it was made through all the house round about.
26-43:5†††† So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house.
26-43:15††† So the altar shall be four cubits; and from the altar and upward shall be four horns.
26-43:27††† And when these days are expired, it shall be, that upon the eighth day, and so forward, the priests shall make your burnt offerings upon the altar, and your peace offerings; and I will accept you, saith the Lord GOD.
26-45:20††† And so thou shalt do the seventh day of the month for every one that erreth, and for him that is simple: so shall ye reconcile the house.
26-47:21††† So shall ye divide this land unto you according to the tribes of Israel.
27-1:5††††† And the king appointed them a daily provision of the kingís meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king.
27-1:14†††† So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.
27-2:2††††† Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, for to shew the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king.
27-2:15†††† He answered and said to Arioch the kingís captain, Why is the decree so hasty from the king? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.
27-2:42†††† And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
27-3:17†††† If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
27-5:6††††† Then the kingís countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.
27-6:23†††† Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
27-6:28†††† So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
27-7:16†††† I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.
27-8:4††††† I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.
27-8:17†††† So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.
27-10:7†††† And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.
27-11:9†††† So the king of the south shall come into his kingdom, and shall return into his own land.
27-11:15††† So the king of the north shall come, and cast up a mount, and take the most fenced cities: and the arms of the south shall not withstand, neither his chosen people, neither shall there be any strength to withstand.
27-11:30††† For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.
28-1:3††††† So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.
28-3:2††††† So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:

28-4:7††††† As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.
28-6:9††††† And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.
28-8:7††††† For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.
28-10:15††† So shall Bethel do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off.
28-11:2†††† As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.
28-13:6†††† According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.
28-14:2†††† Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
29-2:4††††† The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.
29-3:17†††† So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.
30-3:12†††† Thus saith the LORD; As the shepherd taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear; so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus in a couch.

30-5:9††††† That strengtheneth the spoiled against the strong, so that the spoiled shall come against the fortress.

32-1:4††††† But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.
32-1:6††††† So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.
32-1:7††††† And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.
32-1:12†††† And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.
32-1:15†††† So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.
32-3:3††††† So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three daysí journey.
32-3:5††††† So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.
32-4:5††††† So Jonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city.
32-4:6††††† And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd.
33-2:2††††† And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.

38-1:21†††† Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.
38-3:5††††† And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
38-4:4††††† So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?
38-6:7††††† And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.
38-7:3††††† And to speak unto the priests which were in the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?
38-7:13†††† Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts:
38-8:13†††† And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.
38-8:15†††† So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.
