03-12:6†††† And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest:
03-14:37††† And he shall look on the plague, and, behold, if the plague be in the walls of the house with hollow strakes, greenish or reddish, which in sight are lower than the wall;
03-16:4†††† He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.
03-18:17††† Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her sonís daughter, or her daughterís daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
03-18:24††† Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
03-23:2†††† Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
03-23:4†††† These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.
03-23:17††† Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD.
03-23:37††† These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:
03-23:42††† Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:
03-25:7†††† And for thy cattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat.
03-25:23††† The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.
03-25:33††† And if a man purchase of the Levites, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the year of jubile: for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.
03-25:42††† For they are my servants, which I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.
03-25:44††† Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.
03-25:45††† Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession.
03-25:55††† For unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
03-26:25††† And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
03-26:36††† And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.
03-26:39††† And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemiesí lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.
03-26:46††† These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.
03-27:34††† These are the commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai.

04-1:17†††† And Moses and Aaron took these men which are expressed by their names:
04-1:44†††† These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers.
04-2:32†††† These are those which were numbered of the children of Israel by the house of their fathers: all those that were numbered of the camps throughout their hosts were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

04-3:2††††† And these are the names of the sons of Aaron; Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
04-3:3††††† These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests which were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priestís office.
04-3:9††††† And thou shalt give the Levites unto Aaron and to his sons: they are wholly given unto him out of the children of Israel.
04-3:13†††† Because all the firstborn are mine; for on the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast: mine shall they be: I am the LORD.
04-3:18†††† And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families; Libni, and Shimei.
04-3:20†††† And the sons of Merari by their families; Mahli, and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to the house of their fathers.

04-4:15†††† And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.
04-4:20†††† But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.
04-4:41†††† These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, of all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, whom Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of the LORD.
04-6:13†††† And this is the law of the Nazarite, when the days of his separation are fulfilled: he shall be brought unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:
04-8:16†††† For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
04-8:17†††† For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.
04-9:7††††† And those men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the LORD in his appointed season among the children of Israel?

04-13:30††† And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
04-13:31††† But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
04-13:32††† And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
04-14:9†††† Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.
04-14:35††† I the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.
04-14:43††† For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you.
04-15:13††† All that are born of the country shall do these things after this manner, in offering an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
04-15:15††† One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.
04-16:3†††† And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?
04-16:5†††† And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.
04-16:11††† For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him?
04-16:37††† Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed.
04-16:38††† The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.
04-18:6†††† And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the Levites from among the children of Israel: to you they are given as a gift for the LORD, to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
04-18:16††† And those that are to be redeemed from a month old shalt thou redeem, according to thine estimation, for the money of five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs.
04-18:17††† But the firstling of a cow, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat, thou shalt not redeem; they are holy: thou shalt sprinkle their blood upon the altar, and shalt burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
04-18:18††† And the flesh of them shall be thine, as the wave breast and as the right shoulder are thine.

04-22:6†††† Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed.
04-22:9†††† And God came unto Balaam, and said, What men are these with thee?

04-24:6†††† As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the riverís side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.
04-24:15††† And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:

04-35:33††† So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.
04-36:3†††† And if they be married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the children of Israel, then shall their inheritance be taken from the inheritance of our fathers, and shall be put to the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received: so shall it be taken from the lot of our inheritance.
04-36:4†††† And when the jubile of the children of Israel shall be, then shall their inheritance be put unto the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received: so shall their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.
04-36:13††† These are the commandments and the judgments, which the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses unto the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.
05-1:2††††† (There are eleven daysí journey from Horeb by the way of mount Seir unto Kadeshbarnea.)
05-1:10†††† The LORD your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.
05-1:11†††† (The LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he hath promised you!)
05-1:20†††† And I said unto you, Ye are come unto the mountain of the Amorites, which the LORD our God doth give unto us.
05-1:28†††† Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there.
05-2:4††††† And command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir; and they shall be afraid of you: take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore:
05-2:25†††† This day will I begin to put the dread of thee and the fear of thee upon the nations that are under the whole heaven, who shall hear report of thee, and shall tremble, and be in anguish because of thee.
05-3:18†††† And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war.
05-4:4††††† But ye that did cleave unto the LORD your God are alive every one of you this day.
05-4:20†††† But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day.
05-4:30†††† When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
05-4:32†††† For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?
05-4:45†††† These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Moses spake unto the children of Israel, after they came forth out of Egypt,
05-5:3††††† The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.
05-6:1††††† Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
05-6:14†††† Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;
05-7:6††††† For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
05-7:17†††† If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?
05-7:20†††† Moreover the LORD thy God will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed.
05-8:9††††† A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.
05-9:12†††† And the LORD said unto me, Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image.
05-9:29†††† Yet they are thy people and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out by thy mighty power and by thy stretched out arm.
05-11:12††† A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.
05-11:30††† Are they not on the other side Jordan, by the way where the sun goeth down, in the land of the Canaanites, which dwell in the champaign over against Gilgal, beside the plains of Moreh?
05-12:1†††† These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.
05-12:9†††† For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you.
05-13:7†††† Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
05-13:13††† Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;
05-14:1†††† Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
05-14:2†††† For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.
05-14:4†††† These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,
05-14:7†††† Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.
05-14:9†††† These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
05-14:12††† But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
05-14:29††† And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.
05-16:11††† And thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there.
05-16:14††† And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.
05-17:14††† When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me;
05-18:12††† For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
05-20:2†††† And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people,
05-20:15††† Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities which are very far off from thee, which are not of the cities of these nations.
05-21:2†††† Then thy elders and thy judges shall come forth, and they shall measure unto the cities which are round about him that is slain:
05-21:6†††† And all the elders of that city, that are next unto the slain man, shall wash their hands over the heifer that is beheaded in the valley:
05-22:5†††† The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a womanís garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
05-22:17††† And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughterís virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
05-23:8†††† The children that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the LORD in their third generation.
05-23:18††† Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
05-24:14††† Thou shalt not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates:
05-25:16††† For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the LORD thy God.
05-27:12††† These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:
05-28:58††† If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;
05-29:1†††† These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.
05-29:5†††† And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot.
05-29:20††† The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.
05-29:21††† And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law:
05-29:27††† And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:
05-29:29††† The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
05-30:1†††† And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,
05-30:10††† If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
05-31:17††† Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?
05-31:18††† And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods.
05-31:21††† And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware.
05-32:4†††† He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
05-32:5†††† They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.
05-32:20††† And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.
05-32:21††† They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
05-32:28††† For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.
05-32:32††† For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:
05-32:37††† And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted,
05-33:3†††† Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.
05-33:17††† His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.
05-33:27††† The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
06-2:3††††† And the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab, saying, Bring forth the men that are come to thee, which are entered into thine house: for they be come to search out all the country.
06-3:8††††† And thou shalt command the priests that bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When ye are come to the brink of the water of Jordan, ye shall stand still in Jordan.
06-4:9††††† And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bare the ark of the covenant stood: and they are there unto this day.
06-6:17†††† And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.
06-6:19†††† But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the LORD: they shall come into the treasury of the LORD.
06-7:3††††† And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few.
06-7:21†††† When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.
06-8:5††††† And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will flee before them,
06-9:8††††† And they said unto Joshua, We are thy servants. And Joshua said unto them, Who are ye? and from whence come ye?
06-9:9††††† And they said unto him, From a very far country thy servants are come because of the name of the LORD thy God: for we have heard the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt,
06-9:11†††† Wherefore our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spake to us, saying, Take victuals with you for the journey, and go to meet them, and say unto them, We are your servants: therefore now make ye a league with us.
06-9:13†††† And these bottles of wine, which we filled, were new; and, behold, they be rent: and these our garments and our shoes are become old by reason of the very long journey.
06-9:22†††† And Joshua called for them, and he spake unto them, saying, Wherefore have ye beguiled us, saying, We are very far from you; when ye dwell among us?
06-9:23†††† Now therefore ye are cursed, and there shall none of you be freed from being bondmen, and hewers of wood and drawers of water for the house of my God.
06-9:25†††† And now, behold, we are in thine hand: as it seemeth good and right unto thee to do unto us, do.
06-10:6†††† And the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the mountains are gathered together against us.
06-10:17††† And it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings are found hid in a cave at Makkedah.
06-12:1†††† Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:
06-12:7†††† And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;
06-13:14††† Only unto the tribe of Levi he gave none inheritance; the sacrifices of the LORD God of Israel made by fire are their inheritance, as he said unto them.
06-13:17††† Heshbon, and all her cities that are in the plain; Dibon, and Bamothbaal, and Bethbaalmeon,
06-13:30††† And their coast was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, threescore cities:
06-13:32††† These are the countries which Moses did distribute for inheritance in the plains of Moab, on the other side Jordan, by Jericho, eastward.
06-14:1†††† And these are the countries which the children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed for inheritance to them.
06-15:32††† And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all the cities are twenty and nine, with their villages:
06-16:3†††† And goeth down westward to the coast of Japhleti, unto the coast of Bethhoron the nether, and to Gezer: and the goings out thereof are at the sea.
06-17:3†††† But Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, had no sons, but daughters: and these are the names of his daughters, Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
06-17:9†††† And the coast descended unto the river Kanah, southward of the river: these cities of Ephraim are among the cities of Manasseh: the coast of Manasseh also was on the north side of the river, and the outgoings of it were at the sea:
06-17:16††† And the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough for us: and all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who are of Bethshean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Jezreel.
06-18:3†††† And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?
06-19:14††† And the border compasseth it on the north side to Hannathon: and the outgoings thereof are in the valley of Jiphthahel:
06-19:29††† And then the coast turneth to Ramah, and to the strong city Tyre; and the coast turneth to Hosah; and the outgoings thereof are at the sea from the coast to Achzib:
06-19:35††† And the fenced cities are Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth,
06-19:51††† These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, divided for an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. So they made an end of dividing the country.
06-21:9†††† And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are here mentioned by name,
06-22:10††† And when they came unto the borders of Jordan, that are in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh built there an altar by Jordan, a great altar to see to.
06-22:17††† Is the iniquity of Peor too little for us, from which we are not cleansed until this day, although there was a plague in the congregation of the LORD,
06-23:14††† And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.
06-23:15††† Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
06-24:22††† And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.
06-24:23††† Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the LORD God of Israel.
07-3:1††††† Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan;
07-5:11†††† They that are delivered from the noise of archers in the places of drawing water, there shall they rehearse the righteous acts of the LORD, even the righteous acts toward the inhabitants of his villages in Israel: then shall the people of the LORD go down to the gates.
07-6:2††††† And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds.
07-7:2††††† And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.
07-7:4††††† And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people are yet too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee there: and it shall be, that of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go.
07-7:18†††† When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow ye the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.
07-8:6††††† And the princes of Succoth said, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thine army?
07-8:15†††† And he came unto the men of Succoth, and said, Behold Zebah and Zalmunna with whom ye did upbraid me, saying, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thy men that are weary?
07-9:2††††† Speak, I pray you, in the ears of all the men of Shechem, Whether is better for you, either that all the sons of Jerubbaal, which are threescore and ten persons, reign over you, or that one reign over you? remember also that I am your bone and your flesh.
07-9:18†††† And ye are risen up against my fatherís house this day, and have slain his sons, threescore and ten persons, upon one stone, and have made Abimelech, the son of his maidservant, king over the men of Shechem, because he is your brother;)
07-10:4†††† And he had thirty sons that rode on thirty ass colts, and they had thirty cities, which are called Havothjair unto this day, which are in the land of Gilead.
07-11:7†††† And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, Did not ye hate me, and expel me out of my fatherís house? and why are ye come unto me now when ye are in distress?
07-12:3†††† And when I saw that ye delivered me not, I put my life in my hands, and passed over against the children of Ammon, and the LORD delivered them into my hand: wherefore then are ye come up unto me this day, to fight against me?
07-12:4†††† Then Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead, and fought with Ephraim: and the men of Gilead smote Ephraim, because they said, Ye Gileadites are fugitives of Ephraim among the Ephraimites, and among the Manassites.
07-15:10††† And the men of Judah said, Why are ye come up against us? And they answered, To bind Samson are we come up, to do to him as he hath done to us.
07-15:11††† Then three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines are rulers over us? what is this that thou hast done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them.
07-15:12††† And they said unto him, We are come down to bind thee, that we may deliver thee into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me, that ye will not fall upon me yourselves.
07-18:9†††† And they said, Arise, that we may go up against them: for we have seen the land, and, behold, it is very good: and are ye still? be not slothful to go, and to enter to possess the land.
07-18:24††† And he said, Ye have taken away my gods which I made, and the priest, and ye are gone away: and what have I more? and what is this that ye say unto me, What aileth thee?
07-19:18††† And he said unto him, We are passing from Bethlehemjudah toward the side of mount Ephraim; from thence am I: and I went to Bethlehemjudah, but I am now going to the house of the LORD; and there is no man that receiveth me to house.
07-20:7†††† Behold, ye are all children of Israel; give here your advice and counsel.
07-20:13††† Now therefore deliver us the men, the children of Belial, which are in Gibeah, that we may put them to death, and put away evil from Israel. But the children of Benjamin would not hearken to the voice of their brethren the children of Israel:
07-20:32††† And the children of Benjamin said, They are smitten down before us, as at the first. But the children of Israel said, Let us flee, and draw them from the city unto the highways.
07-20:39††† And when the men of Israel retired in the battle, Benjamin began to smite and kill of the men of Israel about thirty persons: for they said, Surely they are smitten down before us, as in the first battle.
07-21:16††† Then the elders of the congregation said, How shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing the women are destroyed out of Benjamin?
08-1:11†††† And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?
08-4:9††††† And Boaz said unto the elders, and unto all the people, Ye are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelechís, and all that was Chilionís and Mahlonís, of the hand of Naomi.
08-4:10†††† Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day.
08-4:11†††† And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The LORD make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem:
08-4:18†††† Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron,
09-2:3††††† Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.
09-2:4††††† The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.
09-2:8††††† He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lordís, and he hath set the world upon them.
09-4:8††††† Woe unto us! who shall deliver us out of the hand of these mighty Gods? these are the Gods that smote the Egyptians with all the plagues in the wilderness.
09-4:17†††† And the messenger answered and said, Israel is fled before the Philistines, and there hath been also a great slaughter among the people, and thy two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God is taken.
09-6:17†††† And these are the golden emerods which the Philistines returned for a trespass offering unto the LORD; for Ashdod one, for Gaza one, for Askelon one, for Gath one, for Ekron one;
09-9:20†††† And as for thine asses that were lost three days ago, set not thy mind on them; for they are found. And on whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not on thee, and on all thy fatherís house?
09-10:2†††† When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachelís sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son?
09-10:7†††† And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee.
09-12:2†††† And now, behold, the king walketh before you: and I am old and grayheaded; and, behold, my sons are with you: and I have walked before you from my childhood unto this day.
09-12:21††† And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain.
09-16:11††† And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.
09-16:16††† Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.
09-17:8†††† And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.
09-19:22††† Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.
09-20:21††† And, behold, I will send a lad, saying, Go, find out the arrows. If I expressly say unto the lad, Behold, the arrows are on this side of thee, take them; then come thou: for there is peace to thee, and no hurt; as the LORD liveth.
09-20:22††† But if I say thus unto the young man, Behold, the arrows are beyond thee; go thy way: for the LORD hath sent thee away.
09-21:5†††† And David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel.
09-26:16††† This thing is not good that thou hast done. As the LORD liveth, ye are worthy to die, because ye have not kept your master, the LORDíS anointed. And now see where the kingís spear is, and the cruse of water that was at his bolster.
09-29:10††† Wherefore now rise up early in the morning with thy masterís servants that are come with thee: and as soon as ye be up early in the morning, and have light, depart.
10-1:4††††† And David said unto him, How went the matter? I pray thee, tell me. And he answered, That the people are fled from the battle, and many of the people also are fallen and dead; and Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.
10-1:19†††† The beauty of Israel is slain upon thy high places: how are the mighty fallen!
10-1:25†††† How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! O Jonathan, thou wast slain in thine high places.
10-1:27†††† How are the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war perished!
10-3:28†††† And afterward when David heard it, he said, I and my kingdom are guiltless before the LORD for ever from the blood of Abner the son of Ner:
10-5:1††††† Then came all the tribes of Israel to David unto Hebron, and spake, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.
10-5:8††††† And David said on that day, Whosoever getteth up to the gutter, and smiteth the Jebusites, and the lame and the blind, that are hated of Davidís soul, he shall be chief and captain. Wherefore they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.
10-7:9††††† And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.
10-11:11††† And Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.
10-13:33††† Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the kingís sons are dead: for Amnon only is dead.
10-14:14††† For we must needs die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither doth God respect any person: yet doth he devise means, that his banished be not expelled from him.
10-14:20††† To fetch about this form of speech hath thy servant Joab done this thing: and my lord is wise, according to the wisdom of an angel of God, to know all things that are in the earth.
10-15:3†††† And Absalom said unto him, See, thy matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear thee.
10-15:13††† And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom.
10-15:15††† And the kingís servants said unto the king, Behold, thy servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the king shall appoint.
10-16:4†††† Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, thine are all that pertained unto Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I humbly beseech thee that I may find grace in thy sight, my lord, O king.
10-16:21††† And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy fatherís concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong.
10-17:2†††† And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him afraid: and all the people that are with him shall flee; and I will smite the king only:
10-17:10††† And he also that is valiant, whose heart is as the heart of a lion, shall utterly melt: for all Israel knoweth that thy father is a mighty man, and they which be with him are valiant men.
10-17:12††† So shall we come upon him in some place where he shall be found, and we will light upon him as the dew falleth on the ground: and of him and of all the men that are with him there shall not be left so much as one.
10-17:16††† Now therefore send quickly, and tell David, saying, Lodge not this night in the plains of the wilderness, but speedily pass over; lest the king be swallowed up, and all the people that are with him.
10-19:11††† And king David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak unto the elders of Judah, saying, Why are ye the last to bring the king back to his house? seeing the speech of all Israel is come to the king, even to his house.
10-19:12††† Ye are my brethren, ye are my bones and my flesh: wherefore then are ye the last to bring back the king?
10-20:19††† I am one of them that are peaceable and faithful in Israel: thou seekest to destroy a city and a mother in Israel: why wilt thou swallow up the inheritance of the LORD?
10-22:28††† And the afflicted people thou wilt save: but thine eyes are upon the haughty, that thou mayest bring them down.
10-22:39††† And I have consumed them, and wounded them, that they could not arise: yea, they are fallen under my feet.

14-33:18††† Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and the words of the seers that spake to him in the name of the LORD God of Israel, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel.
14-33:19††† His prayer also, and how God was intreated of him, and all his sins, and his trespass, and the places wherein he built high places, and set up groves and graven images, before he was humbled: behold, they are written among the sayings of the seers.
14-34:21††† Go, enquire of the LORD for me, and for them that are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out upon us, because our fathers have not kept the word of the LORD, to do after all that is written in this book.
14-34:24††† Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the curses that are written in the book which they have read before the king of Judah:
14-34:31††† And the king stood in his place, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant which are written in this book.
14-35:25††† And Jeremiah lamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and the singing women spake of Josiah in their lamentations to this day, and made them an ordinance in Israel: and, behold, they are written in the lamentations.
14-35:27††† And his deeds, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
14-36:8†††† Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.
15-2:1††††† Now these are the children of the province that went up out of the captivity, of those which had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away unto Babylon, and came again unto Jerusalem and Judah, every one unto his city;
15-4:10†††† And the rest of the nations whom the great and noble Asnapper brought over, and set in the cities of Samaria, and the rest that are on this side the river, and at such a time.
15-4:12†††† Be it known unto the king, that the Jews which came up from thee to us are come unto Jerusalem, building the rebellious and the bad city, and have set up the walls thereof, and joined the foundations.
15-5:4††††† Then said we unto them after this manner, What are the names of the men that make this building?
15-5:11†††† And thus they returned us answer, saying, We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and build the house that was builded these many years ago, which a great king of Israel builded and set up.
15-6:6††††† Now therefore, Tatnai, governor beyond the river, Shetharboznai, and your companions the Apharsachites, which are beyond the river, be ye far from thence:
15-6:9††††† And that which they have need of, both young bullocks, and rams, and lambs, for the burnt offerings of the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the appointment of the priests which are at Jerusalem, let it be given them day by day without fail:
15-7:13†††† I make a decree, that all they of the people of Israel, and of his priests and Levites, in my realm, which are minded of their own freewill to go up to Jerusalem, go with thee.
15-7:19†††† The vessels also that are given thee for the service of the house of thy God, those deliver thou before the God of Jerusalem.
15-7:21†††† And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,
15-7:25†††† And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not.
15-8:1††††† These are now the chief of their fathers, and this is the genealogy of them that went up with me from Babylon, in the reign of Artaxerxes the king.
15-8:13†††† And of the last sons of Adonikam, whose names are these, Eliphelet, Jeiel, and Shemaiah, and with them threescore males.
15-8:28†††† And I said unto them, Ye are holy unto the LORD; the vessels are holy also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the LORD God of your fathers.
15-9:6††††† And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens.
15-9:15†††† O LORD God of Israel, thou art righteous: for we remain yet escaped, as it is this day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee because of this.
15-10:3†††† Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law.
15-10:13††† But the people are many, and it is a time of much rain, and we are not able to stand without, neither is this a work of one day or two: for we are many that have transgressed in this thing.
16-1:3††††† And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.
16-1:10†††† Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand.
16-2:3††††† And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathersí sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire?
16-2:17†††† Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach.
16-4:2††††† And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned?
16-4:4††††† Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity:
16-4:10†††† And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed, and there is much rubbish; so that we are not able to build the wall.
16-4:19†††† And I said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, The work is great and large, and we are separated upon the wall, one far from another.
16-5:2††††† For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live.
16-5:5††††† Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and some of our daughters are brought unto bondage already: neither is it in our power to redeem them; for other men have our lands and vineyards.
16-5:17†††† Moreover there were at my table an hundred and fifty of the Jews and rulers, beside those that came unto us from among the heathen that are about us.
16-6:8††††† Then I sent unto him, saying, There are no such things done as thou sayest, but thou feignest them out of thine own heart.
16-7:6††††† These are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his city;
16-9:6††††† Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
16-9:36†††† Behold, we are servants this day, and for the land that thou gavest unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we are servants in it:
16-9:37†††† And it yieldeth much increase unto the kings whom thou hast set over us because of our sins: also they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are in great distress.
16-10:39††† For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.
16-11:3†††† Now these are the chief of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit, Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinims, and the children of Solomonís servants.
16-11:7†††† And these are the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jesaiah.
16-12:1†††† Now these are the priests and the Levites that went up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,
17-1:16†††† And Memucan answered before the king and the princes, Vashti the queen hath not done wrong to the king only, but also to all the princes, and to all the people that are in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus.
17-3:8††††† And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all people; neither keep they the kingís laws: therefore it is not for the kingís profit to suffer them.
17-4:16†††† Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
17-7:4††††† For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the kingís damage.
17-8:5††††† And said, If it please the king, and if I have found favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the kingís provinces:
17-8:9††††† Then were the kingís scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the month Sivan, on the three and twentieth day thereof; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the lieutenants, and the deputies and rulers of the provinces which are from India unto Ethiopia, an hundred twenty and seven provinces, unto every province according to the writing thereof, and unto every people after their language, and to the Jews according to their writing, and according to their language.
17-9:13†††† Then said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews which are in Shushan to do to morrow also according unto this dayís decree, and let Hamanís ten sons be hanged upon the gallows.
17-10:2†††† And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the greatness of Mordecai, whereunto the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?
18-1:19†††† And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
18-3:8††††† Let them curse it that curse the day, who are ready to raise up their mourning.
18-3:19†††† The small and great are there; and the servant is free from his master.
18-3:22†††† Which rejoice exceedingly, and are glad, when they can find the grave?
18-3:24†††† For my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings are poured out like the waters.
18-4:9††††† By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of his nostrils are they consumed.
18-4:10†††† The roaring of the lion, and the voice of the fierce lion, and the teeth of the young lions, are broken.
18-4:11†††† The old lion perisheth for lack of prey, and the stout lionís whelps are scattered abroad.
18-4:19†††† How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which are crushed before the moth?
18-4:20†††† They are destroyed from morning to evening: they perish for ever without any regarding it.
18-5:4††††† His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them.
18-6:3††††† For now it would be heavier than the sand of the sea: therefore my words are swallowed up.
18-6:4††††† For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, the poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.
18-6:7††††† The things that my soul refused to touch are as my sorrowful meat.
18-6:16†††† Which are blackish by reason of the ice, and wherein the snow is hid:
18-6:17†††† What time they wax warm, they vanish: when it is hot, they are consumed out of their place.
18-6:18†††† The paths of their way are turned aside; they go to nothing, and perish.
18-6:21†††† For now ye are nothing; ye see my casting down, and are afraid.
18-6:25†††† How forcible are right words! but what doth your arguing reprove?
18-6:26†††† Do ye imagine to reprove words, and the speeches of one that is desperate, which are as wind?
18-7:1††††† Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are not his days also like the days of an hireling?
18-7:3††††† So am I made to possess months of vanity, and wearisome nights are appointed to me.
18-7:6††††† My days are swifter than a weaverís shuttle, and are spent without hope.
18-7:8††††† The eye of him that hath seen me shall see me no more: thine eyes are upon me, and I am not.
18-7:16†††† I loathe it; I would not live alway: let me alone; for my days are vanity.
18-8:9††††† (For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)
18-8:13†††† So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocriteís hope shall perish:
18-8:17†††† His roots are wrapped about the heap, and seeth the place of stones.
18-9:25†††† Now my days are swifter than a post: they flee away, they see no good.
18-9:26†††† They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle that hasteth to the prey.
18-10:5†††† Are thy days as the days of man? are thy years as manís days,
18-10:17††† Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, and increasest thine indignation upon me; changes and war are against me.
18-10:20††† Are not my days few? cease then, and let me alone, that I may take comfort a little,
18-11:6†††† And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.
18-12:2†††† No doubt but ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.
18-12:6†††† The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly.
18-12:16††† With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his.
18-13:4†††† But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
18-13:12††† Your remembrances are like unto ashes, your bodies to bodies of clay.
18-13:23††† How many are mine iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.
18-14:5†††† Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;
18-14:21††† His sons come to honour, and he knoweth it not; and they are brought low, but he perceiveth it not of them.
18-15:10††† With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than thy father.
18-15:11††† Are the consolations of God small with thee? is there any secret thing with thee?
18-15:15††† Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.
18-15:28††† And he dwelleth in desolate cities, and in houses which no man inhabiteth, which are ready to become heaps.
18-16:2†††† I have heard many such things: miserable comforters are ye all.
18-16:22††† When a few years are come, then I shall go the way whence I shall not return.
18-17:1†††† My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves are ready for me.
18-17:2†††† Are there not mockers with me? and doth not mine eye continue in their provocation?
18-17:7†††† Mine eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members are as a shadow.
18-17:11††† My days are past, my purposes are broken off, even the thoughts of my heart.
18-18:3†††† Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?
18-18:21††† Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
18-19:3†††† These ten times have ye reproached me: ye are not ashamed that ye make yourselves strange to me.
18-19:13††† He hath put my brethren far from me, and mine acquaintance are verily estranged from me.
18-19:19††† All my inward friends abhorred me: and they whom I loved are turned against me.
18-19:22††† Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?
18-20:11†† His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.
18-20:25†† It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors are upon him.
18-21:7††† Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power?
18-21:9††† Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them.
18-21:18†† They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.
18-21:22†† Shall any teach God knowledge? seeing he judgeth those that are high.
18-21:24†† His breasts are full of milk, and his bones are moistened with marrow.
18-21:28†† For ye say, Where is the house of the prince? and where are the dwelling places of the wicked?
18-21:33†† The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and every man shall draw after him, as there are innumerable before him.
18-22:10†† Therefore snares are round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;
18-22:12†† Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!
18-22:14†† Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.
18-22:19†† The righteous see it, and are glad: and the innocent laugh them to scorn.
18-22:29†† When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
18-23:14†† For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.
18-24:1††† Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?
18-24:8††† They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
18-24:13†† They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
18-24:17†† For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.
18-24:23†† Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he resteth; yet his eyes are upon their ways.
18-24:24†† They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
18-25:2††† Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.
18-25:5††† Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.
18-26:5††† Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.
18-26:11†† The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.
18-26:14†† Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
18-27:12†† Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye thus altogether vain?
18-28:4††† The flood breaketh out from the inhabitant; even the waters forgotten of the foot: they are dried up, they are gone away from men.
18-28:6††† The stones of it are the place of sapphires: and it hath dust of gold.
18-30:1††† But now they that are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock.
18-30:15†† Terrors are turned upon me: they pursue my soul as the wind: and my welfare passeth away as a cloud.
18-30:17†† My bones are pierced in me in the night season: and my sinews take no rest.
18-30:30†† My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with heat.
18-31:40†† Let thistles grow instead of wheat, and cockle instead of barley. The words of Job are ended.
18-32:6††† And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.
18-32:9††† Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.
18-34:18†† Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?
18-34:19†† How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.
18-34:21†† For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.
18-34:25†† Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
18-35:5††† Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.
18-36:7††† He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.
18-36:20†† Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.
18-37:17†† How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?
18-37:24†† Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
18-38:6††† Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
18-38:30†† The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.
18-38:35†† Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are?
18-39:4††† Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them.
18-39:30†† Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.
18-40:17†† He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
18-40:18†† His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
18-41:14†† Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about.
18-41:15†† His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal.
18-41:17†† They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.
18-41:18†† By his neesings a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.
18-41:23†† The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved.
18-41:25†† When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves.
18-41:28†† The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned with him into stubble.
18-41:29†† Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear.
18-41:30†† Sharp stones are under him: he spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the mire.
19-1:4†††† The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
19-2:12††† Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
19-3:1†††† LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
19-6:2†††† Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
19-9:3†††† When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.
19-9:6†††† O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.
19-9:15††† The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.
19-10:5††† His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.
19-10:8††† He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.
19-10:16†† The LORD is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land.
19-12:4††† Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
19-12:6††† The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
19-12:8††† The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
19-14:1††† The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
19-14:3††† They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
19-16:3††† But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
19-16:6††† The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
19-16:11†† Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
19-17:2††† Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.
19-17:10†† They are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.
19-17:14†† From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
19-18:38†† I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.
19-19:8††† The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
19-19:9††† The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
19-19:10†† More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
19-20:8††† They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.
19-21:11†† For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.
19-22:14†† I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
19-25:10†† All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
19-25:15†† Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
19-25:17†† The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.
19-25:19†† Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
19-27:12†† Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
19-31:10†† For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.
19-31:15†† My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.
19-32:11†† Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
19-33:4††† For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
19-34:15†† The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
19-34:18†† The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19-34:19†† Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
19-35:19†† Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.
19-35:20†† For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land.
19-36:3††† The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.
19-36:6††† Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
19-36:12†† There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
19-37:23†† The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
19-37:28†† For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
19-37:34†† Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
19-38:4††† For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
19-38:5††† My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.
19-38:7††† For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.
19-38:14†† Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
19-38:19†† But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.
19-38:20†† They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.
19-39:6††† Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.
19-40:5††† Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
19-40:12†† For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.
19-42:7††† Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
19-44:13†† Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.
19-44:22†† Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
19-45:5††† Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the kingís enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.
19-47:9††† The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.
19-49:14†† Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling.
19-50:11†† I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
19-51:17†† The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
19-53:1††† The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
19-53:3††† Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
19-54:3††† For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.
19-55:4††† My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
19-55:5††† Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
19-55:10†† Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.
19-56:5††† Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.
19-56:8††† Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
19-56:12†† Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.
19-57:4††† My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
19-57:6††† They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.
19-58:3††† The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
19-58:4††† Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;
19-59:3††† For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O LORD.
19-59:7††† Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear?
19-62:9††† Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.
19-65:5††† By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:
19-65:8††† They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.
19-65:13†† The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.
19-68:6††† God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
19-68:17†† The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.
19-69:1††† Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.
19-69:4††† They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.
19-69:5††† O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.
19-69:9††† For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
19-69:19†† Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.
19-71:13†† Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.
19-71:24†† My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.
19-72:20†† The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.
19-73:1††† Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
19-73:4††† For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.
19-73:5††† They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.
19-73:8††† They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
19-73:10†† Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
19-73:12†† Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
19-73:19†† How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
19-73:27†† For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.
19-74:20†† Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.
19-75:3††† The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.
19-76:5††† The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.
19-76:6††† At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
19-77:19†† Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.
19-79:1††† O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.
19-79:4††† We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.
19-79:8††† O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low.
