24-1:3 It came1961 also in the days3117 of Jehoiakim3079 the son1121 of Josiah2977 king4428 of Judah,3063 unto5704 the end8552 of the eleventh6249, 6240 year8141 of Zedekiah6667 the son1121 of Josiah2977 king4428 of Judah,3063 unto5704 the carrying away1540 of Jerusalem3389 captive in the fifth2549 month.2320
24-1:4 Then the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 unto413 me, saying,559
24-1:5 Before2962 I formed3335 thee in the belly990 I knew3045 thee; and before2962 thou camest forth3318 out of the womb4480, 7358 I sanctified6942 thee, and I ordained5414 thee a prophet5030 unto the nations.1471
24-1:6 Then said559 I, Ah,162 Lord136 GOD!3069 behold,2009 I cannot3808, 3045 speak:1696 for3588 I595 am a child.5288
24-1:7 But the LORD3068 said559 unto413 me, Say559 not,408 I595 am a child:5288 for3588 thou shalt go1980 to5921 all3605 that834 I shall send7971 thee, and whatsoever3605, 834 I command6680 thee thou shalt speak.1696
24-1:8 Be not408 afraid3372 of their faces:4480, 6440 for3588 I589 am with854 thee to deliver5337 thee, saith5002 the LORD.3068
24-1:9 Then the LORD3068 put forth7971 (853) his hand,3027 and touched5060, 5921 my mouth.6310 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 me, Behold,2009 I have put5414 my words1697 in thy mouth.6310
24-1:10 See,7200 I have this2088 day3117 set6485 thee over5921 the nations1471 and over5921 the kingdoms,4467 to root out,5428 and to pull down,5422 and to destroy,6 and to throw down,2040 to build,1129 and to plant.5193
24-1:11 Moreover the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 unto413 me, saying,559 Jeremiah,3414 what4100 seest7200 thou?859 And I said,559 I589 see7200 a rod4731 of an almond tree.8247
24-1:12 Then said559 the LORD3068 unto413 me, Thou hast well3190 seen:7200 for3588 I589 will hasten8245, 5921 my word1697 to perform6213 it.
24-1:13 And the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 unto413 me the second time,8145 saying,559 What4100 seest7200 thou?859 And I said,559 I589 see7200 a seething5301 pot;5518 and the face6440 thereof is toward4480, 6440 the north.6828
24-1:14 Then the LORD3068 said559 unto413 me, Out of the north4480, 6828 an evil7451 shall break forth6605 upon5921 all3605 the inhabitants3427 of the land.776
24-1:15 For,3588 lo,2009 I will call7121 all3605 the families4940 of the kingdoms4467 of the north,6828 saith5002 the LORD;3068 and they shall come,935 and they shall set5414 every one376 his throne3678 at the entering6607 of the gates8179 of Jerusalem,3389 and against5921 all3605 the walls2346 thereof round about,5439 and against5921 all3605 the cities5892 of Judah.3063
24-1:16 And I will utter1696 my judgments4941 against them touching5921 all3605 their wickedness,7451 who834 have forsaken5800 me, and have burned incense6999 unto other312 gods,430 and worshiped7812 the works4639 of their own hands.3027
24-1:17 Thou859 therefore gird up247 thy loins,4975 and arise,6965 and speak1696 unto413 them (853) all3605 that834 I595 command6680 thee: be not408 dismayed2865 at their faces,4480, 6440 lest6435 I confound2865 thee before6440 them.
24-1:18 For,589 behold,2009 I have made5414 thee this day3117 a defensed4013 city,5892 and an iron1270 pillar,5982 and brazen5178 walls2346 against5921 the whole3605 land,776 against the kings4428 of Judah,3063 against the princes8269 thereof, against the priests3548 thereof, and against the people5971 of the land.776
24-1:19 And they shall fight3898 against413 thee; but they shall not3808 prevail3201 against thee; for3588 I589 am with854 thee, saith5002 the LORD,3068 to deliver5337 thee.

24-2:7 And I brought935 you into413 a plentiful3759 country,776 to eat398 the fruit6529 thereof and the goodness2898 thereof; but when ye entered,935 ye defiled2930 (853) my land,776 and made7760 mine heritage5159 an abomination.8441
24-2:8 The priests3548 said559 not,3808 Where346 is the LORD?3068 and they that handle8610 the law8451 knew3045 me not:3808 the pastors7462 also transgressed6586 against me, and the prophets5030 prophesied5012 by Baal,1168 and walked1980 after310 things that do not3808 profit.3276

24-2:10 For3588 pass over5674 the isles339 of Chittim,3794 and see;7200 and send7971 unto Kedar,6938 and consider995 diligently,3966 and see7200 if there be1961 such2063 a thing.
24-2:11 Hath a nation1471 changed4171 their gods,430 which1992 are yet no3808 gods?430 but my people5971 have changed4171 their glory3519 for that which doth not3808 profit.3276

24-2:18 And now6258 what4100 hast thou to do in the way1870 of Egypt,4714 to drink8354 the waters4325 of Sihor?7883 or what4100 hast thou to do in the way1870 of Assyria,804 to drink8354 the waters4325 of the river?5104
24-2:19 Thine own wickedness7451 shall correct3256 thee, and thy backslidings4878 shall reprove3198 thee: know3045 therefore and see7200 that3588 it is an evil7451 thing and bitter,4751 that thou hast forsaken5800 (853) the LORD3068 thy God,430 and that my fear6345 is not3808 in413 thee, saith5002 the Lord136 GOD3069 of hosts.6635
24-2:20 For3588 of old time4480, 5769 I have broken7665 thy yoke,5923 and burst5423 thy bands;4147 and thou saidst,559 I will not3808 transgress;5674 when3588 upon5921 every3605 high1364 hill1389 and under8478 every3605 green7488 tree6086 thou859 wanderest,6808 playing the harlot.2181
24-2:21 Yet I595 had planted5193 thee a noble vine,8321 wholly3605 a right571 seed:2233 how349 then art thou turned2015 into the degenerate5494 plant of a strange5237 vine1612 unto me?

24-2:26 As the thief1590 is ashamed1322 when3588 he is found,4672 so3651 is the house1004 of Israel3478 ashamed;954 they,1992 their kings,4428 their princes,8269 and their priests,3548 and their prophets,5030

24-2:30 In vain7723 have I smitten5221 (853) your children;1121 they received3947 no3808 correction:4148 your own sword2719 hath devoured398 your prophets,5030 like a destroying7843 lion.738
